In the days before Tesla’s big shareholder vote on November 6, 2025, Charles Schwab reversed its decision on Elon Musk’s massive $1 trillion pay package after retail investors revolted online.

When word spread that Schwab planned to vote against Musk’s compensation, major Tesla supporters like Jason DeBolt and Sawyer Merritt called them out on X urging investors to move their money elsewhere. The movement snowballed, with thousands sharing proof of transferring assets and slamming Schwab for following proxy advisors that opposed Musk’s plan. It was mad!

Robinhood jumped in, offering a 2% bonus for anyone switching over—further fueling the exodus threat.

Within 24 hrs, Schwab caved, announcing it would support Musk’s pay deal after all. Tesla fans celebrated the reversal as a major win for “retail power,” proving that small investors—when united—can sway even giant financial institutions.

Voting against the compensation plan is basically voting against Tesla’s future - putting a pin in ROBOTS —and turning down the potential for at least a 10x return. It’s the best compensation plan I’ve ever seen

It’s madness. Elon et al and those that emulate his businesses, is the ONLY hope left of re establishing America as a nation of makers and do’ers. Need to de-financialse and let industry build value and financial markets do what they were designed to do. Empower asset allocators not dictate their production
