EXCLUSIVE VIDEO - How to Analyze My Trade Alerts (Patreon)
Content
Jacob walks us through his process on how he analyzes my trade alerts.
Today it is about identifying when something is getting “toppy” (i.e., near a local market high):
1. Watch for the Optimized Trend Turning Orange on the Weekly Chart
The optimized trend indicator turning orange on a weekly timeframe is a key visual signal that the asset’s bullish momentum may be fading.
2. Monitor Price Relative to ATR Levels
The ATR bands provide dynamic support and resistance zones.
When price moves up through the upper ATR bands and starts consolidating or stalling, it’s a sign the move may be overextended.
3. Confirm with Multi-Indicator Confluence (ATR + Optimized Trend + IADSS)
James monitors a combination of indicators: ATR, IADSS, and the Optimized Trend.
The idea is that when multiple indicators align — for example, the Optimized Trend turns orange and ATR bands flatten or widen abnormally — the probability of a local top increases.
Rule of thumb: One signal alone isn’t enough; a confluence of trend color change, ATR breakout, and weakening indicator structure suggests a top is forming.
