I grabbed a little TSLA today at the magical $411 mark - the same level I entered before and was waiting to hit again...

Buy signal shadowed again and we have bounced off $411 thrice now.

I bought the Jan 2028 calls and sold the Jan 2028 Puts at $400 strike for a net debit of $45

My breakeven on the trade is $445 a mere 800 days from now. It may not be the bottom - but it is a very small position compared to my usual buys

Surprised you didn't make another buy James, finally under $400. Expected a 2nd buy

Chuz

Remember anything under 400 is a buy (like last time) except when it actually is under 400 then its a no no.

You will be buying allot of dips on tesla. I recommend people learn to read into an earnings report.

This is a multi-year play. Don't overthink buying bc of a few $$$s. Highly undervalued. Scale in if needed. Buy fear

MB-TrojanSurgeon

I bought 400 at $397!!!! Still have dry powder for more!!!

WeAreTwoBears

Yehhhh and I bought one at $399.48. A splendid entry. And no dry powder. Just about paying the bills.

Hi brand new here with lots of questions. What is the benefit of this position vs just buying shares? I’m sure I’m missing something but it seems like it caps upside a lot while locking up almost the same amount of collateral. Will be happy to be corrected on this! Like I said I’ve got a lot to learn

InvestorMainiac

I don't understand why James is buying on the left side of the dip. "Don't catch falling knives". I thought the advice (not advice!) was buy on the right hand side of the V (on the way up)

Leverage. net debit of $4,500 to control 100 shares = 1 synthetic long (Buy a call, sell a put)
