One of my white whales has been trying to get boobs that don't deform weird on the underside. I've done tons of weight painting and used shape keys to try and fix the weirdness of it, to mixed results. I just sorta... make them too big.

But I've found a string of bones where the underside of the breast meets the chest works really well! Tried with 4 bones, each disconnected from each other and all parented to the chest bone. This lets me move the bottom crease of the breast wherever I want it to fix any issues, but it also makes the mesh deform in a way that removes a lot of the issues before I start tweaking. Also lets me control how much overhang the breast has, which helps give a more natural, heavier look.

I don't know if I'm going to add this to my existing Renamon model or use this as more justification to create a new Renamon model. But regardless I'm super happy this test worked out well!~

Gotta say though for “in-use” expansion like during a video, the old method would still make more sense. As the boob wouldn’t change where it was attached to begin with, nor lift up skin below it during the inflation. Though on separate unrelated models and scenarios without expansion happening, new model looks great!

Honestly getting to see a behind the scenes look is really interesting. It's crazy to see all the little details that have to go into the rig

"Under-boob bones", "Weight painting the boobs", Don't you just love the things techno jargon enables us to say while being completely serious?

It's a great addition that'll help with the little details, it show that it just isn't as easy as going "lol boobs" to make some nice tatta's that are both easy to work with and somewhat realistic
