I don't think they like explain it or anything but If Elena takes the cure then Damon can drink her blood and get the cure that way. The reason Katherine was aging and dying was because she was 500+ years old and was aging to 500 years. Elena has only been a vampire for a few years so she would age to like.. 22 years old or something. But if they do that then no one can take it from Damon because if they do he would age and die like Katherine.

Jenny

Yes. the cure is only for one person, but once Elena takes the cure her blood becomes the cure. So once she takes it, Damon can feed off of Elena and become human. Now your thinking about Katherine, didn't she start to age once the cure was sucked out? Yes, but Katherine had been a vampire for over 500 years, so she aged accordingly. Elena has only been a vampire for 2-3 years, so it's not going to kill her. If someone sucked the cure from Damon, then he would start to age and die.

Jenny

Sorry. I just knew if I explained it someone would beat me to the punch :)

Charlie

Well tbh my reaction to Damon saying he would take the cure was the same as Elenas lol. Damon has always been pro vampire. Elena begged him to take the cure with her back in season 4 (before they knew it was only meant for 1 person) and Damon refused her and told her he couldn’t imagine anything worse than being human. Even this season he’s said that he thinks that if Elena was human she would go back to Stefan, so it’s weird that he would willingly take it with her now out of the blue.

Well obviously it was said in spur of the moment.....He explains his reaction and why it came out the way it did next episode.....Elena wants him to think through this because she knows how impulsive Damon is especially when it concerns her. I don't think it's weird he simply wants to be with Elena....For Elena Stefan isn't the issue here....It's Damon and his insecurities.

I get Jo and Alaric's point of view that "maybe Caroline should decide what she needs", but I think Stefan understands that he is part of Caroline's pain and hovering and constantly being in her face isn't helping the situation.

Elena at the end was just so shocked and surprised if u ask me, since that was the last thing Damon wanted before, or so he said it was.... & in this situation Juli, both could become human if Elena takes it first. Since Elena is still young, she isn't hundreds of years old so if someone sucks the cure from her, she wont get all old and die like Katherine, since technically she only in her early 20's.

Urgh this episode is soooo good, but it also makes me so sad and mad. To this day, I am angry that they just gave Caroline that letter without a safety net, without a copy or whatever. Who does that? What kind of stupid move was that? With this episode, our brief journey for Caroline without her humanity ends, and I'm kind of sad.. Caroline was so fun without her humanity tbh, and I wish it hadn't been so much about no humanity Stefan and her. While I enjoyed the storyline as it was, I feel like having Caroline without her humanity without Stefan being involved could have been a very interesting and very different take on the no humanity thing that we got from Stefan and Elena before and it could have been a storyline for just Caroline without involving a guy. As great as the storyline was, I can't help but feel in the end it was very much like the two "no humanity" storylines before. Spiralling out of control, killing spree, emotional trigger, remorse

sameee wtf, they couldn't just copy the letter or something before giving it to her

So Juli you see how season 5 was a bad season with the best last few episodes... Yeah for this season it's the opposite IMO LOL. I found these last few episodes a bit... i don't even know but I want to see your reaction so I can't wait for next week, hopefully you can get them all out by then.
