Hope you do keep going... and get some sleep... Season 1 is rated 76%, Season 2 is even more amazing and rated a 95% on Rotten Tomatoes. I'm not sure if you are familiar with the YouTube channel Alt Shift X... He has millions of views explaining Game of Thrones. Anyways, today he released his first Expanse video. Its a spoiler free video that gets into the whole world of the expanse, and who the different groups are. I highly recommend it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNjrI0YvZYA Don't worry about feeling like you don't see the full picture. That is totally on purpose, you are discovering details while the story unfolds... even the 3 groups of characters don't know what each other have discovered at this point. ... they started to connect the dots this episode, Julie and the Scopuli was trying to intercept a ship called the Anubis. On the Tachi (now named the Rocinante) the crew has settled down in their story To answer your question about the OPA, Anderson Dawes, and Fred Johnson. The OPA is a loose group of people that call themselves the OPA, it has a bunch of factions. Anderson Dawes runs the OPA on Ceres. Fred Johnson is also an OPA leader, is an ex-UN general who you just saw had massacred belters, and then switched sides and is also the manager of Tyco Station. In general, OPA leaders don't generally get along with each other or agree on anything The next episode starts to pull the individual stories together, answers start flowing much faster.

When Holden and the rest broadcast that they thought Mars destroyed the Canterbury, they were about to be captured by the martians and, at that point, they only knew of Mars, Earth and the Belters as major players. No one knew of any party advanced or powerful enough to do that and especially with stealth technology. So, broadcasting to everyone before they were caught was giving them leverage so the Martians wouldn't kill them to cover up "what they did". At the time, it was the smart move. Turns out, it wasn't Mars, but a 4th party and the 4th party was setting up Mars anyway. Earth would've assumed it was Mars. The survivors of the Cant just helped move that message along. The riots and upheaval that resulted are, yes, in part Holden's fault, but that probably would've happened anyway. It's just now they can put a face to the resistance/informant with Holden's face.
