Everyone this season seems stupid, like Enzo (Love him, probably my favourite male character) is working with the armory and I understand his fear of being alone but him being an asshole was a stupid plot and they've already used it 3 times before, one of those times was the beginning of this season with the Heretics, his character is much more complex than this and it irritates me. Then theres Alaric, who I completely understand wanting to protect his babies but he seemed like such a douche bag with Caroline and some points not even taking into consideration her feelings and just willing to take the kids, for some weird reason I lost my connection with him this season, like when he died, I was so sad, when he came back I was so happy but this season I just didn't really care for him. Just like I didn't really care for Damon this season, he just keeps going backwards in his redemption to the point where I can't even tell what the real Damon is, obviously he will always have his amazing humor but Damon just really bored me this season, maybe it's because I miss Delena with all my heart but his character has started to feel really pointless, he really needs to grow. The only character I stan with all my heart this season is Bonnie "Goddess" Bennet, every time I saw her I just got a big smile on my face, just as I used to with Delena. Do I think this season needs Elena to get better? Even though I miss her, no. But do I think that something went downhill after she left? Yup.
