Seasons 4 and 5 are my favorite seasons from this show! Great reaction as always!

The look Fiona gives Robbie at the end breaks my heart. The way she buries her head in her hands, you can tell the amount of shame she feels. All the pain and suffering. She just wants it to stop. She wants the pain to go away. That desire to rid herself of the pain will lead her to rock bottom. It's so, so sad. But sometimes it takes a person hitting rock bottom to really wake up. Emmy Rossum's performance this season is my favorite performance from any female from any series of the last 10 years. The journey that her character takes and the way Emmy captures every emotion so perfectly is incredible. The fact that she hasn't even been nominated for an Emmy, much less won one, is a crime in my opinion. Seeing Mandy all bloody made me sad. I'm with you, the boyfriend must die lol. There's a scene with Mandy later in the season that I think will have you in tears. It might be my favorite Mandy scene of the whole series. I won't spoil it for you, but it takes place at the diner she works at. You'll know it when you see it. I love seeing Ian and Mickey be all domestic with each other. It's the cutest thing ever. Not a lot of development for their story this episode, but holy shit you're going to die when you see the next 2 episodes! Love seeing more of Carl and Debbie. Their stories are fairly minor but I like seeing them grow up (or in Debbie's case, trying to grow up too fast) and making mistakes and (hopefully) learning from them. The next couple seasons aren't my favorite for Debbie, I have limited patience for moody teens lol. But I think it's awesome that she gets her own stories rather than being sidelined in favor of the older kids. She might be a bratty teen at this point but I still love Debbie. Same with Carl. Thanks so much for another great reaction! I'm so glad you've made it this far in the series. When you first started reacting to Shameless, the first thing I thought was "Damn! I hope she makes it to season 4." The first 3 seasons are great, but season 4 is on another level. Season 4 is when I really fell in love with the characters. Not in spite of their flaws, but because of them. It's the human condition.

Domestic gallavich is the best thing ever haha.I can totally relate to you saying that even though the show is about the gallaghers, the milkoviches are also like your children,I just love mandy and mickey so much,it hurts my heart to see them suffering, they deserve so much better than everything they've been through and I just wish that they could be safe and happy.I love how you're so invested in the show, the love that you have for the characters and how well do you understand them makes me so happy <3

The situation with Svetlana and Mickey is a difficult one to say the least. Here's the thing, if she hadn't threatened/blackmailed mickey, she, and us too all know mickey wouldn't have gotten the money for the stroller, changing pads, clothes ect. Svetlana quite literally has no one else to go to apart from the father of her child. If she hadn't done what she did, it's possible that yevgeney could have harmed one way or another from lack of resources, so, from her point of view as a mother and evidently the only parent willing to care for her child, she had to think of something fast. Now, from Mickey's point of view, Svetlana and Yevgeney seem like a burden he's being forced to bear, and a barrier between him just living his life with Ian, even if it is behind closed doors. However, i truly think that it's not that Mickey doesn't care for his child but that he thinks its better for him if he stays away and is not in any way apart of his life, knowing the pain and misery his own father brought to him and probably practising what he wishes his dad would have done to him instead of being in his life. From OUR point of view, svetlana seems like the biggest bitch because we've grown attatched to mickey and acknowledge his struggles, but what we need to remember is to see the bigger picture and acknowledge svetlana's also. As much as i didn't like her back then i never really took into account that one, she's only a year or two older than Mickey, has no family or money so has had to result to prostitution and to top it off, a husband who has left her to fend for herself with a newborn she didn't even ask for herself.

I think a lot of people need to remember also that svetlana didn't exactly rape mickey although she was the one who took part in the act itself. In the scene you can see how confused and shocked svetlana is when she walks into the house and sees Ian and Mickey there bloodied and bruised, gun pointed at the two of them. Immediately she knew that the moment she entered, she was apart of that so we can only assume that if she hadn't complied, Terry would have shot her and hired another hooker anyway.

Another thing, i'm also convinced that Svetlana has feeling's for Mickey of some sort, hence her asking him to come home, the looks she gives Ian in the shower ( almost like she's seeing what the hype is about lmao) and her eyes watering when she saw mickey watching Ian sleep. It's probably a result of the marriage - having her think that since mickey asked her to marry him on his own accord, while she was pregnant also, that he truly did like her unlike all those men she has sex with as her job, not knowing what love actually is since she's still relatively young and we heard from mickey, she was sold to a pimp by her father at a young age.

That's a good point. I hadn't thought of that but you're right. Svetlana's a hooker. She probably thought nothing of it when Terry told her to fuck Mickey, she has sex with men for money all day. Maybe she showed up, saw the gun and was like "I better do this or I'll end up dead."

All good points. I agree there's more than meets the eye with Svetlana. But she's still a bitch for threatening to out Mickey lol

I'm still catching up on your Shameless reactions! LOVE your commentaries on them! I have to say with this situation a lot of people were mad at Mickey for not caring about the baby. But to me it was understandable? I remember thinking that it's VERY similar to how parents let teen dads off the hook because they clearly aren't "ready". It's even more forgiving than just that because Mickey didn't have a CHOICE in the matter. It's not like he WANTED to sleep with Svetlana. So the baby was a literal reminder/trigger of the rape he endured! I did feel bad for the baby, and loved Ian for stepping in, and understanding, why Mickey couldn't handle it. Because at the end of the day, the baby WAS innocent. I wish Mandy was more aware of the situation, of what caused the pregnancy, too. ect

In the cut scenes Mickey admits to beating Mandy's boyfriend up for hitting her. And he has a long conversation at the bar about how wrong it is to hit a woman for any reason. I don't know why they cut such a needed scene . It was great insight into Mickey's character. He is an angel.
