The reason rebecca is still daggered is because she's still hexed from the strix's stake that causes her to go rabid and they don't have a cure for it

When Caroline came to New Orleans, it was foreshadow and tease the fate of Klaus (for season 3 finale arc and beyond). Season 4 of TO will catch up to the TVD's 3 years time jumps. After you finish TO season 4, dont watch Season 5 until you finish TVD 8x16. Because 5x01 of The Originals made a huge spoiler reference to a major event in TVD's series finale.

Season 4 of TO only has 13 eps whereas season 8 has 16 eps. So you might be done with TO first but dont watch T0 season 5 until you finish TVD, because of the airing dates. The whole season of TVD season 8 was aired before TO 5x01 aired.

Actually, she has to watch the entire 8th season of TVD before watching 4 and 5 of TO, because the second half of the 7th season and the 8th season of TVD is spent 3 years in the future of the 3rd season of TO and the 4th season of TO is passed 5 years after the 3rd season of TO and 2 years after the end of TVD season, and finally, the 5th season of TO happens 7 years after the 4th season, and 12 years after the end of TVD.
