There was soooo much sexual and romantic tension between Wells and Hartley. Idk if the actors decided to do that as a choice on their own part or if it was written to be that way but it's so obvious there was SOMETHING there. That chess scene was one of the gayest scene I've ever seen in my life. It just felt so...intimate.

It's not that strange for a mentor to say to his protege that "You're my guy." It's nothing romantic. This being said, The Pied Piper, in the comics, is gay. But here, you are looking a bit TOO hard into this about Wells. Your gaydar is off.

I, partially, think the dark secret that Hartley knew about Wells was also that he can walk. I'm not sure if he saw him walking around his house when he shattered his windows. I assumed he did.

The Pied Piper is one of the Flash's rogues in the comics (like Heatwave & Captain Cold and others that we haven't met yet) and they are mostly adversaries, but sometimes, they have helped out the Flash with bigger issues and The Pied Piper actually eventually became a good guy and friends with him.

I genuinely did not see the gay between Wells and Hartley when I first watched it BUT I also didn't know I was bi when I watched it and now seeing it over I'm like....how did I not see that? You are so right, that was not like a mentor/mentee relationship, that was gay omg
