so happy you posted this tonight! the first 2 movies were so successful that this one came out in theaters- im sure you can tell by the higher budget lol the disney+ series is called “HSM: The Musical: The Series” & i loved it! hopefully you can react to it- there’s only 10 episodes about 35 minutes each!

(Ok Last comment🤣) “Can I Have This Dance” is one of my favorite HSM songs too! We sang it in drama class lol Also, Troy & Gabriella remind me of Naley in a way😭

For me, the ranking is 3 > 1 > 2. They're all pretty good, but the last one made me feel more and it was bigger in general and the issues felt more "real" than in the first two which were just directed at kids and young teenagers. Since the 1st movie is just a classic, I would put it in second place still. And the 2nd movie is a good summer movie and I like it too. idk why but overall the last movie was the best for me.

I know people have already said it but Disney kind of pushed for Ryan to be “straight” by the third film which is why we get Ryan & Kelsi. But the writer/director of the film said that Ryan is gay, and would have come out in college or something like that. However if you do watch the series, there is canon on screen queer characters!

That’s my order too😊 I love the production of the 3rd movie so much & the storyline is more real. I love the 2nd one too but idk I just haven’t watched it as much as the others & it’s more fun I guess. And the 1st is iconic so I can’t put it last. I also think the 2nd has the weakest songs lol

My ranking would be: 2>1>3. Hsm3 had the production but it just didn't have the same feel. Hsm2 is a masterpiece and no one can tell me any different

my ranking would be 3,2,1 but i love them all! also idk if anyone told you but the actors for toy and gabriella, Zac & Vanessa, were dating throughout the filming of the 3 movies but broke up in 2010. They were together for 5 years

i can’t tell you how many graduations i have been to where the valedictorian says “we’re all in this together” literally every time but i love this trilogy so much, i used to have the hsm yearbook and bed sheets like it was an obsession lol
