juli your timing is literally so incredible i just watched the best episode of all american and now i get to watch this!

Asaunte

I'm a few episodes behind on your OTH reactions but I've got to see your reaction to the opening sequence and Chris Keller lol

Angie

i just went to North Carolina (Wilmington) where the show was filmed and went to Tric (the club) and got so much merchandise, like a copy of The Comet (the book Lucas wrote) a yearbook, some shirts etc.

So HAPPY they brought Dan back for this season. The actor who plays him is great. He evokes sooo much emotion in the viewer. You can FEEL his pain and visceral regret. It's so crazy to think back to the earlier seasons (1,2,3) where you felt nothing much but hate for Dan and wondered how he could possibly be any where close to redeemed or a liked character. The writers truly did amazing with his character arc. One of the best things about the show.

It is HILARIOUS and a welcome suprise that they brought back Chris Keller for this season lol. When he is not a serious threat to Naley he is actually very likable. I LOVE that they have him helping Alex with her music this episode. Chris Keller is very talented and I am glad that is showing. He was right that Alex needed to be able to take criticism in order to advance in her music. This was good development for her. I think we forget how much Chris helped Haley with her own music/career and was pivotal in her musical development. It was one of the reasons that Haley was so infatuated with Chris back in season 2.

This was the BEST season opener. Talk about a hook! We have Dan with a gun. Dan with CHRIS KELLER. Then we have Chase covered in blood in the back of a cop car. Julian laughing while getting beat up asking for more. Brooke in a rage. Haley identifying a body and sobbing. Clay yelling at Quinn. SO much mystery to find out. Love this season!

I haven't watched season 9 since my first run through of the show (mostly because it's my least favorite season) but I am excited to watch it with you Juli!

heather

omgg!!! this season opener is the best! so tense! season 9 is actually one of my favorite seasons w/ great storylines so i’m so excited! (but also sad that we’re so close to being done with the show)

A fun behind the scenes thing, when Brooke went on her destruction thing, Sophia accidentally smashed some of the stuff that were not actually props and were actually part of the store. Like there was stuff that was made to be destroyed and other stuff that was not. And she destroyed everything. Anyways, can't wait for this final ride.

I am so torn between wanting you to binge all of this season since they really bring it with the craziness and drama, but also not wanting it to be over! But also am excited for all the bloopers and deleted scenes and maybe even the giant cast interview after the show is over that you can react to afterwards as well! So many conflicting emotions! But also omg yes Dan as a character is so fascinating because on paper I hate him but yet I feel for him so much

Frank

Dan is one of my top 5 characters in this show. Just so many emotions. This character, especially in this season, I..can...not. Can't wait for you to experience how they wrap up his story

izzy

i actually really love season 9, ofc i wished the ending was like season 4 ending of one tree hill but overall this season is one of my favs because of dan

cee

paul johansson is SO GOOD. i can't imagine anyone else playing dan scott and nailing it the way he has. i'm so excited that you're watching the final season, ahhh. bethany joy lenz steals it for me, i think. her and paul for different reasons. AND YAY FOR CHRIS KELLER'S RETURN, i love that dumbass.

something i love about one tree hill that other shows like riverdale can’t master is that they don’t make their villain one dimensional like riverdale does with hiram, but dan he has so many layers to him his whole story is so complex that you can’t just write him off as completely bad without looking at the whole picture you get a chance to analyze the character because he is more than just bad dad and murderer it goes deeper than that and that is why i love this show because they develop their characters so beautifully to this day i stand by the fact that brooke and nathan are the best characters developed on television of all time like they grow as characters and are so multi dimensional just like real people i love it

fry

CHRIS KELLER!!! i stopped hating him and started loving him the minute him and nathan went on that trip together it’s weird to think that he once stood in naley’s way cause i love his interaction with nathan and haley separately and together so much they are just a funny trio

fry

clay’s story this season is very good and interesting

I love how Juli reacted the exact same way I did to Chris Keller. Hated him in S2, but LOVE him now. He's funny as hell and the show needs that esp in S9 where all hell is breaking loose.

I agree. Plus, if you think about it he was the guy we loved to hate. such a great villain! and now he had so much growth and so many different sides to him, it's just fascinating to watch.

I feel the same way. You're right it's just such a tense season with big stories that we needed before we close the show. This goodbye is gonna be rough.

ugh yes !!! you're absolutely right, Paul killed it this season especially. I could not have asked for more regarding Dan.

thisismaria27

here we go with the final season. It's been one hell of a ride, but this last stretch of episodes is just so fantastic, I can't wait for more.

SamTheMars

are we getting a binge for a couple episodes for the last season? <3

Coming home to that must've been Nathan's worst nightmare honestly... Like, he knows Dan wouldn't hurt Jamie or Lydia, no matter how bad the things he's done are. But coming home to find your Father the murderer (who was also abusive to you and everyone else around him...) holding your baby... God, that must be horrifying! It's honestly never made sense to me that Brooke would make her Dad the Godfather of her kids... Godparents are the people who take your kids in if you die or are unable to care for them anymore, and he has never been reliable. It makes sense that she'd want him to know his grandsons and be in their lives and all that, but giving him so much responsibility just seems weird to me...

Jared Scoggin

I can’t wait to see what you think of these final episodes.

Brittney Michelle Neys

Yes!!! I can’t wait to watch all your reactions to the final season!!! It’s a crazy roller coaster ride of emotions!!!

alexis

you should absolutely binge this final season so it’s out of the way for other shows LOL

JS

This season I love Dan very much!

Mira

strap on. this season is a rollercoaster of emotions

Nikki S

I can’t believe I’m almost caught up after very recently starting on the first reaction episode and watching every one!! ❤️

Nikki S

I met the actor who plays chris Keller (tyler Hilton) and had him sign his autograph as “chris Keller loves you” and then his real autograph and he had the cutest smile ever when I asked him to do that haha he’s such a good guy and an incredible singer/songwriter!
