my EXACT reaction juli !! i don't think i've ever watched a season finale that left me so visibly mad lmfaooo, like why ????? what was the reason ?!?!?!

Mitochondria

Yea I am a Joey and Pacey shipper so seeing that sucked but I just saw it as a goodbye kiss because of their history and fact he’s going away on the opposite side of the coast from the person he grew up with most his life.

haha I had to watch the very end and read a recap of the finale and yeah honestly I had a feeling that that situation might happen. Because best friends cannot be best friends, apparently. It's literally the main reason I haven't watched the show. Was I kind of knew what the writers would want to do, and I didn't want to see it lmfao

Cynthia Gines

I know how annoying and upsetting it is but I feel like the series finale makes up for it!

She’s been getting the episodes off a site that has the original music restored to the episodes. When it gets to the finale, it’s actual extended and longer that what you’d find on Amazon/hbo/ect. The finale she’ll be able to download and watch there actually has scenes cut they filmed but had to remove due to time on tv, but their restored in the spot in episode the scenes would have been. Not spoiling what those scenes are but it’s worth watching this extended version for these 15+ mins of cut content

supervalor

I hope she continues watching and doesn’t actually quit

JuliDG

Im not quiting the show ❤️

Excuse my language, but the writers fully took a shit on us and on pacy and joeys whole relationship in this episode. I’m so mad lol idk how anyone could like dawson 😂

I haven’t seen the rest of the show but this was obviously a spoiler lol

You don’t necessarily know what she means by that and if ya haven’t seen it, your only guessing on what she’s implying. Any season finale of this show is better than this one, so anything can make this shows finale good. While she should watch how she words things, that can be referring to how it ends overall for everyone as a whole. Some shows have crappy finales

I've never seen the extended version! I'm so excited!!! I feel like she'll really like the 2 part series finale+

Dove

This is how insane I felt watching this finale at 13 years old. 😢

Barb

full shade to the dawson’s creek writers but hsmtmts did with rini what dawson’s creek should have done with joey and dawson after s2: END THIS DRAWN OUT RELATIONSHIP THAT DOESN’T WORK AND MOVE ON - not keep coming back to it

Trust me you want to keep watching. I know the way they ended S4 was utterly ridiculous, but they make up for it in the final season. As someone who watched this show faithfully in the late 90s/early 2000s I absolutely love your reactions. Watching someone watch this show for the first time in 2023 is amazing. I love how you were rooting for Pacey and Joey from day one. I did the same. They will always be my favorite TV couple.

Linsey Morris

they really should have ended the season with the previous episode. this one feels like kevin williamson came back from the abyss just to shoehorn dawson/joey in the finale and spit on the beautiful build up and execution of pacey/joey and to warn us that he was going to force them on us in s5. and he wasn't even on the writing team for this season so i can't even blame him for it!!!
