I just finished your book! What a lovely story 🥹. It was creative, romantic, thought-provoking, and sprinkled with delightful humor! It’s such a good reminder to practice mindfulness. Aline’s bio was inspirational, too. It inspires me to keep writing! I used to write short stories and go to poetry open mics and stuff, but eventually got this silly idea that I can only dedicate myself to one field haha. Who said I can’t write still? I hope it wasn’t the open mic nights that put you off. 😂 You know, the poets who begin every poem with the life story of how they wrote it, or the academic poets who wrote like a fog machine made of words, or the guy who thinks playing a bongo drum will help his poem make sense 🤣 No, I’m kidding (half) because I love that we can go somewhere and share the stuff of life and listen to each other. It always makes me feel like humans aren’t so bad. And the wine helps. Ha. But yes - I really think writing is helped by having interests in other fields! You’ll have to share something sometime. Maybe we should have an open mic night here… 😅

You're welcome! Lol “a fog machine made of words” and the bongos 😂. I find myself thinking, "I have no earthly clue what you’re talking about, but it's making me feel things". I also sort of envy that, though, the ability to manipulate words to make intricate masterpieces. I have a few core memories from those open mic nights 😭. Open mics are weird, but yes, very important for raw human connection. I’ve also seen a lot of creative writers here in the comments! An open mic thing would be so fun! haha
