In Canada they have Professional Activities Day for the teachers to meet and plan with the Principles on where they are progressing as a group and how they can improve certain departments and who needs support. I really enjoy how our teachers are supported in the community by the parents and students. What our US counterparts endure is hellish compared to what our teachers receive. Hello love! I’m so excited for you! I take ibuprofen afterwards if it’s really uncomfortable, also it’ll help with any swelling. I haven’t used numbing cream before but I’ve heard of lots of people who do! Little trick is I don’t watch when I’m getting one so my brain doesn’t register the pain as much. For me it’s a stinging but it’s definitely bearable! Depending on the place you might feel the vibration from the machine too. If you don’t like the machine noise bring headphones! But there’s lots of artists who are cool talking and stuff while you’re getting it and it helps me relax and feel more comfortable and distracted lol oooh! There’s gonna be part of the healing process where it gets super itchy but don’t scratch. If anything gently pat it. Also sometimes when you’re showering the water directly hitting it can sting so I’ll let it run over the area around it. They’ll give you aftercare instructions and definitely don’t be afraid to ask anything while you’re there or afterwards, there’s no stupid questions!😁

How fun! I hope you get everything you dream it will be! Any speed bumps will depend on what you’re getting and where. The important thing is to communicate with your artist what you need. If you’re comfortable, you’re less likely to move around so they can do their work well. A bit of ibuprofen/acetaminophen might help beforehand. My tats have been difficult in different ways. My rainbow heart on my shoulder blade was a bit rough since it was my first and also right on top of bone. My rattie tat on my thigh was difficult because because the muscle kept involuntary tensing up. Bring a book, a portable game console, or a fully charged phone to distract you. Once the initial flutters die down, you just have to keep yourself distracted. It will still sting, but you get used to it after a bit. Make sure to keep up with the aftercare! Keep it moisturized with a gentle, non-scented cream, and use plenty of sunscreen if you go out (that’s also just a good idea in general). It might scab over and peel a bit in the first couple weeks, but that’s completely normal. Just gently rinse it, keep it clean, and pat dry. Good luck, and show us pictures when you can! ❤️

If your situation is like that, take a couple extra min to really look at the little stuff in the design. And speak up if there's ANYTHING at all you don't like or want to discuss (changes, shading, size, placement, etc.) - Definitely take ibuprofen or something at least 20 min before they start. - I didn't use numbing cream, but. consider: 1) What is your personal pain. tolerance like? 2) How detailed is it (very detailed = ✅️, less detail =🚫)? 3) how long will it take? - If you are a "zone out" type of person, then take a good pillow to get comfy. If you're a more outwardly focused person ask your shop if a friend can come back with you. (Mine had to wait out front d/t Covid. - If you get uncomfortable (with the position or the pain don't be afraid to tell them you need a sec but tell them BEFORE you start moving. - The longer she went on, the more I felt it. And if they have to go back over areas that they've already done, that was a little worse than the first pass. - If you have a latex allergy or have had skin reactions to adhesives before don't let them put the tegaderm/dressing patch on it. Mine looked like a fire truck 🚒 the next day, but just from the patch. As soon as I took it off I was golden. Good luck! I'm so excited for you!
