They are ice elves btw Don, just the translation you have on is not accurate and is calling them ice demons instead for whatever reason. Also, Jinwoo does not need to say arise to summon his shadow army, he only needs to say arise when creating a a new shadow soldier(s)

a good site has subtitles with a black border around each letter, so you can see it no matter what color the background is.....he chose a version that has shitty subtitles unfortunately, in order to avoid crunchyroll....which tbh is kinda fair cuz crunchyroll is trash considering you have to pay for it but its worse than a lot of free streaming sites, BUT, the subtitles are usually on point in crunchyroll still, whatever site they chose likely just didnt think about the white on white type shit
