It's my 4th time watching this series, and it is from this episode on that I come away with an absolute truth: Elena is an IDIOT. Just because things sometimes work out, somehow, it's not because she was right. She has to be in the middle of *everything*, a proper Mary Sue character, and loves to play the victim, martyr, heartbroken, hero, take your pick (I can't elaborate yet with details, as we're so early into the show). Fortunately, there are some awesome characters in this series so that we're not stuck watching The Elena Show and nothing else, LOL, and there are so many good things to come into this series in the near future. Trust me, her idiocy is just a minor annoyance after awhile.

yeah early 2000’s was when we could rent from Netflix like DVD rental services then in 2007 it became a streaming site to what it is now..I only remember that vividly cuz I remember first downloading it on my ipod touch 😭😭

that's interesting haha i'm not sure when dvds even became a thing here but the only similar thing i can remember is Blockbuster but that was VHS tapes i would get. Netflix released in 2015 for me so quite late 😭

the order is to finish s4 of tvd then watch seasons 1-3 of the originals then finish the rest of tvd then continue with the originals. but thats only if he even watches the show for that long

You give Stefan WAY too much credit! He is a vampire who is racist against his own species! Unless it is someone he cares about, like Lexi, he believes (and has said outlout) that "they're just vampires" aka they deserve to die. Also, he was the one who beleived all the vampires in the tomb deserved to be there, even ones we see were good, like Pearl and Harper, and was willing to go torch them all to death while they were all starved in the tomb.
