thanks for the uploads!! but also, def can’t compare “hiding adoption” and “dead wife not dead” 😭 Those are very very different scenarios with different intentions. Adoption secrets especially inter-family adoption (Elena was adopted by her birth father’s brother and sister in-law. Not completely different people or family) are usually kept to allow the child to form normal familiar attachments (not saying this goes well all the time). Hiding a non-dead wife, unless it’s an actual sad/sore spot, isn’t beneficial to anyone except the person keeping the secret. If Isobel was human, the idea of protecting Jenna from danger is non-existent. The reason it was a secret was because of the vampire stuff which hasn’t been revealed to Jenna yet.

Also comparing adoption to this is insane, jenna maybe didn’t tell her but as soon as elena found out Jenna did everything in her power to help her get answers bc she didn’t know much either. Elena’s aunt pissed me off most of the episode. She hid that Elena was adopted for most of her life. What Elena chooses to do with the info of her biological mother is up to her. You can be hurt but to push your niece away is immature. You’re her guardian, but acting like her high school best friend. She needed to act like an adult.

Bruh, from Jenna's pov, she's dating a guy who told her he had a dead wife, then someone started bringing that into question, not really saying anything concrete - just that there's more to the story. Honestly, at that point, my brain would go "what if he had something to do with her death" and I'd want some answers too, especially after he starts acting dodgy about the whole topic. AND THEN HIS "DEAD" WIFE SHOWS UP AT HER DOOR! And they didn't get a divorce that she knows of so she's dating a technically still married man. It is an issue.

Don it is absolutely Elena's business to tell Jenna about Isobel. Elena got on Jenna for not telling her about her adoption. She's a hypocrite for doing the exact same thing. She's a manipulator through and through. Plus, this is life and death situation. Telling Jenna about what's going on would help be more aware of what's going on and be careful. Elena would've found out she's adopted when she turns 18 anyway. Knowing the truth about adoption shouldn't even matter if she loves her family she's with now. She was only curious about it because it has something to do with her boyfriend. Elena is a manipulative hypocrite.

You're not understanding what I am saying at all. Elena is a hypocrite when someone keeps secrets from her but she does the exact same thing and expects a reprieve. And she did that after scolding Jenna about keeping her adoption a secret. The only thing that isn't exactly the same is that telling her she's adopted wouldn't put Elena in any danger. On top of that Jenna is part of a family that deals with vampires. She has to know. Keeping someone out of the loop will put them in more danger and keeping secrets after scolding your aunt for doing the exact same thing is hypocritcal, so yes It is the exact same thing.

Very few within fandom i've noticed since dipping my toes in some of the TVD bubbles actually do not, rather, CANNOT see it from Matt's side and empathize with bro. It's actually JARRING!!! Discards her is just chefs kiss in the narrative build up of Klaus Mikaelson, AND SOME PPL REALLY SAID WATCH TO and skip TVD. R U MAAAD???? No, she definitely is a hypocrite, but so is everybody else. Everyone’s ready to sacrifice themselves, but won’t let the other person sacrifice themselves. There is no argument here, its hypocrisy galore but i rate it. Discussion over lol.

2026-09-09 03:00 Hey Don just so u you know the writers of this show are racist and therefore Bonnie doesn't get the best story lines. At one point they tried to kill her off, but Ian (the actor that plays Damon) threatened to leave if they did. Idk if this considered a spoiler, but I thought u should know since u seem to be rlly liking her character. She is definitely a fan fav but does get the short end of the stick alot of the time. Ex: grams dying and her disappearing from a few episodes bc of it. Also noticed how we've never seen her bedroom but we've seen Caroline's, Elena's, Stefan's, and Damon's...

Not strictly true either. Knowing isn’t what automatically put you in danger, being involved in that world or associating with people who are does because you can be used against them whether you know or not. Elena would’ve been in danger regardless because she’s the doppleganger and that fact would’ve gotten out whether she was aware or associated with the Salvatore’s or not. Caroline only found out literally as she got further involved when Katherine turned her and at that point she had no choice, but because she was friends with Elena and a Founding family child she was used, leveraged, and compelled before that several times anyway. So knowing just gives you the ability to be more aware and careful.

I absolutely disagree with you Jon. Jenna not telling Elena that she was adopted right after her parents died is not the same thing as Elena not telling Jenna that she nows her birth mother is still alive and has met her (which is entirety Elena's business as it's her mother), she also failed to tell Jenna that John was her biological father! John may be a voucher, but it's not his fault. Eleanor is a hypocrite, she seems to forget how hurt and betrayed by a guy she barely knew not telling her he was a vampire, yet immediately turned around and kept things from her family and long time friends, including very personal things about her biological parents which could impact Jenna's guardianship of Elena! This whole messy is almost entirely Elena's fault, as well as Alaric who also lied, though he did want to tell Jenna but followed the request of Elena, the child!
