I know alot of people in this chat hate damon but I luv dude for the plot. Always addin some twist with his fly off the handle nature, cant ever be too careful with bro. So many GASP moments with him thus far, Jeremy "death", back when he "killed" john randomly, In this ep when he fed Elena his blood etc. Unpredictable characters as so entertaining to watch, you just never know whats gonna happen with them or what they'll do

They can also die from sun, fire, werewolf venom, losing there head or heart, possibly receiving enough damage from explosions or vervain laced bullets might also kill them

@player I think jaime was contextually responding to Don thinkin Stefan was gonna die from being stabbed, he's clarifying they can ONLY die when being stabbed if its directly into the heart. Though vaguely worded, I believe that's what he meant

I haven't watched the show in years but i believe in s4 one of the five set up vervain bombs, traps and wooden bullets laced in vervain which was said to be able to kill ordinary vampires but not hybrids. I think this means high enough doses of vervain used with weapons can kill vamps. Seen as Don doesnt read comments i hope this isnt spoilers but let me know if i should delete the comment.

Yeah the vervain bomb scene was with an original and Matt but the explosives would’ve burned and blew a normal vampire and Matt to pieces if it’s a vervain bomb the vervain would hurt and the bomb would kill

I was talking about when he shot tyler multiple times with vervain laced bullets and stefen said if he was a normal vamp he wouldve died. If he was shot in the heart a regular vamp wouldve died regardless because if even a splinter of wood enters the heart they die so i thought it was because of the carving or the vervain in the specially made bullets but i might've just been mislead

But this show isnt very consistent with its rules because in in season two ep 14 when stefan was shot by jules's bf forgot his name stefan said it punctured his heart but their mother died in s7 due to a splinter

I find it interesting that the 2 people who pretend to care about innocent lives just breeze past hearing that both a vampire and a warewolf would have to die before Elena is sacrificed and just couldn't care less about thise deaths while planning a way for Elena to survive the triple sacrifice! 1st off, she would still have the choice to complete her transition or die, so... also, Stefan is hella hypocritical because last season he force fed John blood in an attempt to threaten him, taking John's choice away from him, but now unacceptable when Damon does it to Elena in an attempt to save her life...
