Tbh This was my logic on my initial watch of TVD but Don brings up gr8 points ngl. Just cuz someone is madly in love you doesn’t mean you have to kiss them when they are on their death bed, this only would be the case if there was something deep down reciprocating that feeling towards him otherwise if there was no attraction there towards Damon this would not have happen. Which on a rewatch for me kinda makes me go….. “eeeaaaashhhh” 😬😬😬 at Elena. I fully get where Don is coming from

Emily and all of the Bennett witches are ungrateful little BI***ES considering that their blood line would have ended after Emily had it not been for Damon, and even still, Emily broke her end of the deal with Damon and they still all act like they dont owe him their entire lineage! Yes, Elena kissing Damon, even on his death bed, would make someone feel jealous. However, if there is no scenario allowing Elena to kiss Damon goodbye as he is dying, then the same should apply to when Stefan full on kissed Katherine in order to vervain her and lock her in the cellar! Why is that acceptable?
