Elena man the thing i hate about her is how she hides her selfish act behind the act of ”i only want to protect the people i love and i don’t know what im feeling” bullshit. Like she was is a good character in S1-2 but she really shows how jarring she is later on. Also this is why i prefer Katherine bc she is at least open and doesn’t hide who she is. Elena: If I choose one, I lose the other. Uhm, Elena... I get that you’ve lost a lot of people, but that’s the most selfish thing you’ve ever said. Leave that choice to the Salvatore brothers. You can’t make that decision for them by switching between the two. Honestly, I’m actually impressed by the Salvatore brothers — how they keep standing strong and fighting for one another through this whole love triangle.

will always love how klaus managed to get his way around the not being invited in 😂 And yes, Caroline is literally the only one who gets tortured in ways that are small enough to be underwhelming (compared to Damen being bear-trapped by Rebekah), but more twisted in some way that it just really really hurts to see her go through it. I also think it’s because she genuinely doesn’t deserve it at all 😭

When they say very special girl they mean the fact that Elena would sacrifice her life to save people she cares about I know Elena isn't the most compelling character but name me somebody who would die to save their friends. Not child, not son, not daughter, not brother, not sister but friend Granted Elena isn't special on the show in this regard, Bonnie would also give her life to save her friends but I don't know a lot of real life girls with Elena's level of willing to selflessly give her life to protect others. So from that perspective Elena is special

I agree with this. It doesn't matter if you're in a complicated situationship between two people. At 17-18 years old, you should know how you feel or at least try to express it as best as you can. Elena explained it to Matt perfectly but when Stefan wanted to know the truth, she stood their looked him in the eyes and didn't want to say how she felt to him, when he knew exactly how she felt.

It's so crazy to me that every villain/tough person in this show is actually a scaredy cat or a whiny baby in some kind of way. Katherine when she'd complain about Elena getting all the attention and stealing her life. Damon when it comes to his love for Elena and wanting her to choose him, Klaus when it comes to his obsession with needing to be protected with all those hybrids he makes or tries to make. They all act so tough, when in reality they're all scared for different reasons.

I love how Klaus is with Caroline, I shipped them so hard when I first watched this show. I don't ship them anymore, but I still enjoy their scenes together. They're so cute!

Klaus continues to say "I don't need hybrids" but still tries to make them so he's protected. He's so insecure, scared and full of shit 😂 I have a love/hate relationship with Tyler's character at this point, but I was happy and proud of him standing up to Klaus the way he did. It was brave. Elena is selfish and weird af for saying she didn't want to choose because she didn't want to lose one of them. "No, no, no, it doesn't seem like it. You are", thank you Don!!! She's 100% stringing them both along and it's crazy that other people don't want to admit it or is making excuses for her.
