The entire show is about Damon arch leaning from his mistakes, learning how to not to be victim of his traumas and amend from it when his brother don't, to finally reach te conclusion you know with the two brothers...What show have you seen? It sometimes seems like Don is just a touch misogynistic because he judges the girls hella harshly for things but when the guys do the same thing or worse, he praises them for it.

Why is this choice, which affects everyone, not just Elena, up to Elena to decide? Also, Elijah is more trustworthy than Elena and Stefan. Why is it that the main characters are allowed to put their loved ones above everyone else, yet you seem to think that Elijah should put these strangers above his own family! You were almost there with her description of her feelings for Stefan. That is not love, he knew she was grieving and drowning in it because he had been stalking hr, so he then inserted himself into her life, based on lies and emotional manipulation, when she was not in a healed (aka emotionally stable state of mind) then after she healed she started bonding with and falling in love with Damon. And even her talk with Damon, it wasn't that she absolutely loved Stefan more, it was "he came into her life when she needed someone" and she met him first, and "maybe if she met Damon first it would be Damon she chose (which that choice would still be a false sense of obligation for the person who came in when she was not emotionally stable or mature enough to truly know the difference between love and a rebound). Also, 2 wrongs dont make a right, just because Elena is a piece of shit when she takes other's choices and free will away from them (mainly Jeremy) does not make it right for Matt to drug and kidnap her garbage self!

Respectfully, this entire show is Stefan’s story because they are based on Stefan’s diaries💀💀💀💀 Damon does not learn from his mistakes he does the same shit over and over and over😭😭 for example, when he gets upset he feels the need to hurt or kill people. He does it across multiple seasons.. no normal person would feel sorry for Damon at this point. Why would they this is an older brother who keeps putting himself in competition with his little brother 😭Damon turned around and just became some abuser and y’all think people are supposed to feel bad for him.
