Not gonna lie... I hated the way Don be getting on Elena, but now... IVE HAD ENOUGH! I'm tired of that BUM Elena always slyly blaming others for dying, or not 'protecting her,' or not protecting someone SHE cares about. They try to put up that she is some selfless character but she is the worst kind of SELFISH! A Gaslighting, do nothing of substance, obstacle of a person!

The character of Caroline as a human: Meh. The character of Caroline as a vampire: 🥰 Awesome! The character of Elena as a human: Sigh, more of the same, blah-blah-martyr. The character of Elena as a vampire: JFC, whyyyyyy?!? I'm not an Elena fan. Every time I watch this series again, I dislike her a little more. She is a Mary Sue (must be involved in EVERYTHING and usually makes it about her) and incredibly annoying. When Caroline became a vampire, she became mentally and emotionally stronger, channeling her "control freak" nature into a strength instead of a hinderance. When Elena became a vampire, as far as we have seen, her whining increased, and her pathological need to be in the center of everything became all-consuming.

Elena isn't a Mary Sue. She isn't all powerful or perfect in anyway. She is definitely flawed. And she doesn't make situations about her, others tend to make her the centre of their world. That's their issue. Not hers. "Her whining increased". I mean she did just die. I think I'd be an emotional wreck too tbh 😂. All that being said, you are completely valid for disliking her character. I just disagree with those points you made. Caroline definitely became the best version of herself when she became a vampire. I really disliked her character before that

Personally I feel like Caroline AND Tyler together, could have taught Elena to feed. She's such a hypocrite. When Stefan was getting taught by Damon, she lectured Damon about it and told him he wasn't the right person to teach anyone about feeding, she made Stefan feel guilty and looked at him like he was a horrible person for feeding on someone because of Damon trying to help him. Now she's taking lessons from Damon. I hate her character so much 🙄

Omg this!!! When Elena became a vampire, she became even more annoying then what she was before. I hate her character so much, even more as a vampire. I just wish she wasn't so whiny and annoying. She's also very hypocritical too unfortunately. I liked Caroline as a human, she wasn't too bad to me but as a vampire she became my favorite character. Just like Stefan said, Caroline grew into herself when she became a vampire. She's amazing.

She's also very hypocritical. When Damon was teaching Stefan how to feed, she lectured Damon about it and made Stefan feel guilty and looked at him like he was a monster. I love the fact that Klaus still sees Stefan as his friend. He trusts Stefan to tell him and let him know about pretty much everything. I used to hate Rebekah's character, now I hate that she's always being used and daggered and treated unfairly. The same people who treat her wrong and use her, are always the ones wondering why she's so easy.

I don't blame Stefan at all for what his plan was going to be. Elena doesn't have to know every fucking thing. She always thinks people are supposed to tell her everything, yet she stays keeping things from Stefan and even Damon sometimes. She's a hypocrite. It wasn't her fault, but she ruined the plan too. It would have been fine if she wouldn't have went there and did what she did. I can understand Damon feeling some type of way about Stefan not telling him the plan though.

I'm not mad at the hypocrisy. That's honestly a rite of passage in this fandom. It's normal to find it harder to overlook a character's flaws if they're boring or they do something that reminds you of a negative irl experience What's bothering me is instead of embracing it he's trying to make his hatred for Elena and the fact he only calls her out seem logical Brother it isn't logical and that's okay. Feelings don't have to be logical and it genuinely just makes him shoot himself in the foot trying to explain away a normal human emotions by trying to make it sound logical. Connor stabbed Elena! She had every right to kill him. Damon said kill Connor and she killed Connor. Elena even seemed shocked that she killed Connor just because Damon said kill Connor. The explosion and Stefan not answering the phone was a sign the plan went off the rails, so Elena stepped in because that's what you do when you feel the other person is failing at their plan and the life of your only family member is in danger Stefan was failing lets be fucking real here. None of what he was saying was persuading Connor to calm down and step back and Connor would have killed Jeremy, potential hunter be danged, if Jeremy pushed it too far. Like that's just human survival instincts. Like sure Connor would prefer Jeremy lives but not at the cost of Connor's own life Also again even if it wasn't Damon's telling her to kill Connor that made her kill Connor she had every right because Connor is a threat to people she loves like Caroline, Tyler etc

Why are u always siding with Stefan? He came into Elena's life (after stalking her for months) with nothing but lies and manipulations. And even in this episode where he asks Elena to trust him, he is quite clearly lying to her and keeping things from her! Trust goes both ways! Why the hell is she obligated to trust him when he has NEVER earned it in the past and certainly has not earned it this episode! I hate Elena more than you ever could, I assure u, her character is shit and does not deserve Damon, but I begrudgingly have to defend her over and over because at least half the time you shit on her it is from an unjust (and hella misogynistic) point of view! Everytime someone does something bad, Damon always gets the blame. I get Jeremy was compelled, but you as a viewer know that Damon had nothing to do with the dinner at Klaus' and compelling Jeremy, yet he still got half the blame!
