The clue to avoid the red herring of Xavier is quite subtle. Early on, it's revealed that Xavier's father is a famous seer, someone who has visions, much like Wednesday. It stands to reason that Xavier would have inherited something like it. While not true visions, he has prophetic dreams. Don't feel bad falling for the red herrings of Xavier and Kinbott. I was convinced, until she died, that the therapist was involved somehow. I didn't believe it was Xavier, though; I just felt it was made too "obvious" that you're supposed to think he's guilty. The writers did well in concealing the actual master of the Hyde. I did suspect Tyler, though. He seemed TOO normal while being involved in a majority of the season, too nice, and I didn't see him as being there just as a love interest.
