a little tip don, you are heavy rolling bc you have equipped too much stuff at once. unequip the items you are not using bc it will make your dodges slower and cause you to have more chances of being hit

Important tips Don. 1. Your dodges are whack because you're too heavy. Dodging will be much better if you're lighter. 2. Try two-handing your weapon. If you're not using your shield, use both hands for your sword. Hold down Y button + attack (bumper) to two-hand. You'll do more damage. 3. Find a good shield and use it. The Roundtable Hold vendor sells one. It's pretty light weight and blocks 100% of physical damage.

Don, you can find better weapons. But in this game, most weapons you will not use. They're for different builds than yours. The good news is that your Uchigatana is actually very good for a starting weapon. You want DEX weapons, but you will loot weapons for every other stat too and magic spells. So, if you don't use magic and only use DEX, 90% of loot will not be for you. That's just how it is. DEX also lets you use bows, so you could start using bows more. You could branch out from DEX into another stat, like STR or ARCANE, or magic stats like INT or FAITH. Using a combo of 2 stats is very good. Look up different builds if you want. You can respec your points once you're a little farther in the game. And you can always Google where good DEX weapons are, or we can tell you.
