So basically Jackson’s actor wasn’t comfortable with playing a cop at that time when there was a lot of outrage about George Floyd. He was also the main reason why season 3 focused so much on racial issues with the community center and Nolan’s class. He basically made them address such issues during season 3 but after that he didn’t wanna keep doing the show so he left, he didn’t even want to film his death scene so they had to use a stunt double.

I hate that I now know the “reason” to west being killed off. George Floyd died to the meth he used being laced with double the lethal dose of fentanyl. If you don’t believe it, check his autopsy. Yes the Cop was still wrong for having his knee on his neck for so long but that also would never kill a person. They’d die from starvation or thirst before they die from a lack of oxygen. All of the airways in your throat are blocked from the back by the top of your spine. I was also taught the technique in high school and had it performed on me. Yes it hurts, but it does not cut off blood circulation or breathing.

Jackson's death at first got me upset too, almost everyone in my family had the same reaction when we watched it together so you are so valid to react like that. However after seeing it again a different reaction happened this time, it was still an emotianal scene and they did the best they could considering the circumstance, but dang did it hit a point i didn't realize, not all deaths in the police force are honorable and not all are seen directly some are just seen through footage.

Jackson’s death being done the way it was may have been a bit shit but they couldn’t have done much with the actor having quit 🤷🏻‍♀️ Personally Jackson’s death wasn’t that sad to me as I didn’t really like the direction of his character in season 3 especially like I think they could have done the racial storyline better honestly

because there was more than double a lethal dose of fentanyl in his system. Fentanyl does not take much time to kill and the technique that was done to him, i have had done to me before. It does not cut off any airways, it just hurts. It is used as a means of restraining a dangerous person. The officer should not have used it for as long as he did, but that doesn’t change that all your airways have a spine in between them and the back of your neck
