Hello,

today is a good day as it's a new video day and it's an exciting one. It's also a good day as I'm smashing through some great results with the module for the next video too. Everything titled out down below for ease of reading/scanning for info.

PLUME

Plume is a new micro sound oscillator from new company hieroglyphic. It's uses pulsar synthesis, which is like granular synthesis but instead of sampled audio it synthesises waveforms within individual pulses. You can wav shape, formant shift, cluster mutable waves into pulses and then mask and window them like granular. I think it's fascinating and it's given some great results here. So check out the video. The video is largely about learning what pulsar synthesis is and also links to the Curtis Roads article on it.

NEXT VIDEO & HANGOUT

The next video will be on the Instruo dail which launched at Superbooth. It's a smart and highly flexible 4HP quantiser with what I think are some world first features. That video will be a premiere on my YouTube channel at 8pm UK/BST this Sunday (the 2nd of June).

Following that video, right after it, will be a community hangout over in the DivKid Discord server. If you're not set up for that do so ahead of time and join us. Have you heard of Pulsar Synthesis? If not come and learn along about what it is and how to use it and if you have then here's a refresher and some patch examples with Plume. Plume is a new pulsar synthesis oscillator, think of it like a micro sound oscillator or modulator from new company hieroglyphic. Pulsar Synthesis is like granular synthesis but with synthesised waveforms treat as individual pulses rather than using samples like granular synthesis does. Any questions leave them in the comments.
