Lots of news and ANOTHER DivKid Module!!! (Patreon)
Content
Hello, hope you're well.
First of all thank you to everyone that came along to hangout and spend some time with us as a community in Chicago (or Schaumburg, calling it Chicago feels a stretch) for Knobcon this past weekend. I had a great time and most enjoyable was without a doubt hanging out with great people. Whether you came to Knobcon or not, thank you for your continued support, you really are keeping things going here.
Lots to get to so here we go ...
KNOBCON VIDEOS
I have two videos to come from Knobcon one will be online very soon (likely tomorrow) that is a rough and ready walk through of the event to show people the space and the exhibit generally. I always enjoy seeing those types of videos to either see what I missed or get a feel for an event I haven't been to before.
I then went on a patch tip hunting mission and asked many of you, exhibitors, performers and beyond for their best patch tips. I got lots of great tips and footage but that video will take a little while longer to come out. It's lovely ever green video content though with the tips applicable to lots of gear. If you missed the Superbooth patch tips video check that out HERE and expect something similar from Knobcon soon. Thanks to those that took part in the video.
DROID (premiere uno)Sunday the 15th of September at 8pm UK/BST
This coming Sunday the 15th of September at 8pm UK/BST I'll have a new video premiere on my first experiences and 'patch' on the Der Mann Mit Der Maschine DROID modules. I'll copy the blurb I wrote up for socials below to explain a bit about what we're doing below* but basically distilling a load of HP and modules into a smaller space and just giving them the controls I need while also added smart additional module/HP saving features.
As usual I'd love for you to join the premiere, hang out with us and ask questions.
There's also massive thanks to be given to our own community member 'effiksmusic' who has worked on this DROID patch and done a tremendous job of customising all the behaviours and functions into something simple to use and ridiculously feature packed.
NEW MODULE TIIIME (premiere dos)Tuesday the 17th of September at 8pm UK/BST
Now this one is nothing to do with me, other than making a video, but this coming Tuesday I'll have another premiere on another new module. I can't say what it is, but I will say it's a small and handy little thing that can be surprisingly creative beyond first impressions.
Again join me on the day for live chat and hangout, there's going to be another video and stream to take part in with the maker that evening too. More details when I can share them.
NEW DIVKID MODULE TIIIIIMMEEE - YAY!!!!!Thursday the 19th of September (possible premiere TBC)
Yes there's ANOTHER new DivKid module on the way and it's on the way a week from today! Of course go buy an Output Bus, Manic, Trace and the other delights but set your systems ready for something new from me on the 19th.
Expect something in the region of a mild mannered, subtle tease through a bombardment of mystery and sneaky tastes of what it could be between now and the release.
I'll reveal a little more as we get closer, maybe the HP size and the maker I'm collaborating with. As usual feel free to get guessing if you like.
So that's a busy week ahead, catch me and the community over in Discord as always, do join the premieres they're always good fun and I'll be back with another post soon. Ta ta!
*DROID video blurb
join me on a venture into mass modulation, a powerful hub of voltage wonderment and customised modulators all with the aim of saving a load of precious HP and only having controls for the things that need it, fine tuned to your own specifications. This coming Sunday (the 15th of September) at 8pm UK/BST (9pm CET, 12am PDT, 3pm EDT) join me, the team at @dermannmitdermaschine & @effiksmusic who’s work on this DROID patch has been absolutely fantastic as I premiere a new video on the DROID. We have a free patch to share, with PDF guide from me, taking us through how I’m currently using the DROID which is for 4x envelope generators, 2x random sources and 2x LFOs all with extra tricks and functions dialled in.How much HP would you save having these 8 module types/functions covered in the DROID MASTER and P2B8 which is 13HP together? What would you like to do or see with the DROID modules?
