Hello,

something a little different here with a 'story of', interview, development video type thing ... whatever it is, it looks at CRIC with Future Sound Systems. Seeing them just before Machina Bristronica (while I was in Bristol) last year with the earlier prototypes and discussing it's development then fast forwarding to this year (again right around Machina Bristronica) to check out the release version of what is an utterly fantastic synthesiser.

At the core of CRIC are versions of the Recombination Engine triple oscillator design and the Timbral Sculptor, both forward thinking, wide range and offering new and unique ways to work synthesis. Bundle in a massive pin matrix, patch points and utilities and there's a lot to love.

The story of CRIC with Future Sound Systems

It was a pleasure to first see CRIC with Future Sound Systems back in October 2023 around a trip to Bristol that was extended around the event Machina Bristronica. Fast forward a year, past Spinal Tap mini stone henge vibe portrait prototypes to the final Renault Twingo coloured thing ... we have CRIC in its final form. It's signal path is based around the unique features and control of the Recombination Engine and Timbral Sculpture eurorack designs heavily extended around a large pin matrix and powerful modulation section, lots of routing, lots of integration. I'm really excited for CRIC, as a mega synthesiser or centre piece for a whole electronic music studio.
