Hello

hope you're well and your week is off to a good start. Here's a video from Machina Bristronica and the DivKid Discussions stage this time with Uwe George from Rides in the Storm. We discuss his origins in MFB, discrete circuit technology, making things affordable and more.

Check out the video above and HERE and watch out for more demos and chats from the DivKid Discussions stage at Machina Bristronica coming soon.

Onto something exciting (not that chatty videos aren't) over in Discord we're currently organising our first DivKid community DIY group buy and build. This is for the Tap-O-Matic variant of the fantastic Time Machine from OAM Modular. You may remember my VIDEO or Tom Churchill having some dub fun with it and as it's open source (though a non-commercial license) variations now exist including this one (picture above) with CV over each delay tap level, panning per tap and dual filters. (image above).

With the blessing of OAM as a community we're organising to order PCBs and panels so you can DIY your own Tap-O-Matic. We don't have everything 100% nailed down, it's an active discussion and while I was thinking I'd try to make this post outline and answer all questions ... I think it's better I just direct you to the #diy-corner channel in the DivKid Discord and if you're interested, make it known, ask your questions and add your details to the Google Sheet.

If you're not in the Discord, here's how to join (guide by Patreon about linking your Discord) and here's a few key points about what we're doing ...

This will be a group buy project for PCBs & panels, you'll need to get additional parts including an Electrosmith Daisy Submodule.

We may splinter off into USA, UK, EU orders if that makes more sense

This is a DIY project, yet some people have offered to assemble for people

We don't know the final costs just yet

This is done with the support of OAM, though we'll have a suggested donation to them in order to support them for the opportunity to do this and to support their future work

I can't think of anything that needs saying just yet other than to go into the Discord channel and get involved in the discussion. You're welcome to leave comments on this post of course, I realise this may be lacking a lot of detail, but head to the Discord where it all make more sense. I aren't heading this one up as a sole organiser, so questions will need to go into the community as we shape this together. All going well we might do some more group builds in the future, we'll see!

That's it for now, more to come soon, get your FEATURED SYSTEM submissions into that channel on Discord to submit for future use, don't forget I need your questions for AJH Synth and see you in the Discord!
