Hello,
here's a fun one, massively versatile, impressive amount of modes and wide range of tones one ... here's the AJH Synth Matrix VCF which is new and out today.
We all love a good filter, we all love AJH and Allan (see the 10 years of the MiniMod video here) but this one really goes above and beyond. The Matrix VCF is based on the Oberheim Matrix 12 but this adds another mode (for 16 filter types) then - in searching for self oscillation in all modes, something the Oberheim doesn't do - adds a Polivoks inspired overdrive circuit for the resonance path and you've 32 variations of clean, vocal, liquid, squelchy, wet and lush, creamy meets nasty, brash, hardcore almost Sherman filter bank tones ... did I say this was really versatile?
I had a lot of fun with the video, pushing into the unique and more advanced patch potential here but I was smiling even with the first path, who knew your low pass needed an all pass blended in for some KILLER WET SQUELCH.
