Ahoy!! Hope you're good.

Here we are with the return of PEDALS & PATCHES!!!!* WHOOOOOO don't all throw your underwear at the screen in excitement at once ...

Here's an absolute classic FX pedal, the Electro Harmonix Small Stone and this specific one I've had for over 20 years. It's battered, gigged to near death and still something I really love. You do love that juicy swoosh of phaser don't you? I'm not sure we can be friends if not.

All silliness aside, this is my old pedal and I do love phasers and while this video is about the Small Stone specifically it's just as much, if not more so, about how to use phasers, creatively, sound design tips, using pedals with modular ... all stuff you can apply with any phaser pedal, module or software even.

*Pedals & Patches is my series of videos exploring pedal FX alongside a variety of instruments in the studio, with modular (not just end of chain) and singing the praises of pedals to be creative with and not just for guitarist to stamp on. I've done a few of these in the past including the T.Rex Replicator JR, Echo Fix Chorus Vibrato & Spring Reverb, Endorphines Golden Master & Poly Effects Verbs.

This year we're going to go for 1 video a month for the Pedals & Patches series, I'd love to know what your favourite pedals are and what you'd like to see featured - leave a comment or chat with us on Discord.

Another video coming later this week then another couple the week after, busy busy. Chat to you in the Discord!

A Classic Phaser & Creative uses for Synths, Modular & More! // EHX Small Stone [PEDALS & PATCHES]

Here for the PEDALS & PATCHES video series treatment we have the absolutely classic ... Electro Harmonix Small Stone. It's a phaser pedal I've had for over 20 years, gigged the thing to near death and with the Pedals & Patches theme here it is through the lens of creative studio uses, sound design applications and pedal FX on synths, modular and various instruments (not just guitar). Pedal FX were the first bit of gear as I got into music that caught my attention and I love them on a whole range of gear, we'll be exploring more pedals like this each month through 2026 and you check out existing videos in this playlist // https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIWGcb0CxSCG98IAOVdd9cDWH_CwTWYb3 *SUPPORT* If you'd like to support work like this and the wider range of what I do, considering heading over to Patreon at https://bit.ly/DK-patreon and supporting for as little as $1 a month to gain access to the DivKid Discord community, plus lots of exclusives such as PDF patchbooks, videos and more. https://bit.ly/DK-patreon *AFFILIATE LINKS* use these to support my channel!
