Hello all, first of all a little update as to where things are generally with all things DivKid ... first of all I'm told (after submitting at the end of summer 2018) an album I've made for someone/something else (brownie points for anyone that can guess who/what that is) will be released on February 4th. It's an album that I sub consciously made a "media library" style brief for and then totally self indulged for weeks using my modular system to make nearly everything you here on it. It's also something I'll have videos for, I'll give you guys the audio here and I'm hoping to cut out stems and also some samples for you all too. It's my aim to have a growing Patreon Drive for you all with lots of exclusive bits in 

Video wise I'm currently sitting on a few things, mainly because both I and the companies I made the demos for don't want the videos to get lost in a sea of NAMM content. NAMM and all the associated footage totally swamps everything for a while. So here's what's coming up. 

- Modular Podcast (yes we're back!) NAMM 2019 round up show (I'll post a link very soon) THIS SUNDAY the 3rd of February at 7.30pm (UK time). 

- Qu-Bit Scanned demo

- ADDAC System VC Transitions demo

- A simple drone (a patch I wanted to share)

- More SELF PATCHED! series videos

- A new series called 'Better Bleeps' serving as a tips and tricks series. First video turns a single VCO into a hybrid drum machine / groove box. 

- Eurorack utilities are king! A short video just to highlight a simple passive utility module that opens up some performance ideas. 

- More Reason Complex-1 videos - some extra DivKid patches and a patch from scratch walkthrough. 

- Multiple bits of content around my first Eurorack performance at Deershed festival last year. 

- And plenty more that's all ready to spread out and of course a tonne of things to work on too.

Tomorrow I'm heading down to AIR studios (a great mastering facility) to meet up with d'Voxx and make a series of videos on their new album Telegraphé which will be released on DIN Records soon. We'll be talking music theory and modular, putting together an album, I'll chat to the mastering engineering about his process and approach too. 

Finally Modular Meets Electric Spring 2019 is on Sunday the 24th of February this year. It serves as a free, totally open 'all welcome' event for the scene bringing together manufacturers, shops, performances, students and users with a tonne of great gear and people around to hang out through the day. If you're interested in coming let me know.

FALISTRI

So here's my first patch with the Falistri from Frap Tools. It's always nice to share my literal first patch and experience with modules before doing more in-depth demos and explanations. This first patch is using both function generators in looping mode, at audio rates, to create a dual oscillator and complex oscillator series of sounds. The Ring Mod and VCA section below takes normalled versions of the oscillator outputs and I have FM patched between both oscillators (function generators as oscillators) for some cross mod / x mod.
