I wanted to create a post here as a reference for high quality audio examples, images and links for my live performance case. 

In episode 008 of Esoteric Modulation we go through my live case from the original idea, through to key modules, layout, signal flow and sub patches along with examples of sub sections I could improvise and perform around. 

At the top of this post is an image of the final case. There's two huge advantages in terms of set up to perform here ... FIRST the gaps between the rails allowed me to push the cables down between the rails to get those out of the way and SECOND Tendrils, my god Tendrils ... I LOVE these cables for keeping things clear and clutter free. Not a single cable tidy, velcro or tie wrap in sight to bundle cables. Just multiple lengths of Tendrils cables all flat and low profile below the knobs and out of the way. 

THE CASE

The case is my COSMIC SPACE CASE because, well ... it's all cosmic and spacey innit! It's a Lamond Design 12U DIY case painted by an artist fairly local to me called Tim Needham. He used to be part of the graffiti scene around here that surrounded hip hop groups I was involved in and he did a great job painting this case based on a few reference images I sent him. THE POWER

The case is powered by the Tiptop Audio Studio Zeus powered bus boards and Cincon power bricks. Choosing to use this was simple, I know it's quiet and reliable from lots of friends that use it and knowing Ross Lamond had fitted hundreds of these boards in his custom case builds and not had a complaint from a customer certainly pushed things over the edge towards using this power confidently. It's worked really well, with various configurations of this case. There's a powered bus board per row and each side of the case has it's own power supply. So two power bricks for the two 6U sections. 

THE CABLES

I've already said these are Tendrils cables but I just wanted to share another picture to show how easy access everything is using these. 

THE FX ROW

You've seen this in the pictures above anyway but in the show I talk about the "2 bus" FX section. Which is the stereo FX section going right across the whole mix from the master send and return on the output section of the WMD Performance mixer. That's this row (image below).
