What am I doing for Superbooth? + Community efforts and updates (Patreon)
Content
Hello all, hope you're doing well.
Here's a good chunky post to read through (grab a brew!) but to cut to the meat and tatties or falafel and hummus (that's a saying right?) I'll be live streaming RIGHT NOW with Hainbach here - https://youtu.be/MMdNFOrmqeQ (more on this below).
The past few days have seen so much needed recharge and family time prior to the marathon of live streams to come across the rest of this week for Superbooth. The 3 live streams that I had over the weekend certainly left me worn out but they were great and it's very rewarding to see efforts to pull together a community be met with such amazing live audiences and that certainly spurs on efforts for the near future. We (Chris Meyer, Kim Bjorn and I) concluded the intiailly planned 4 streams for Feeding the Monster, I joined the Synth Society Summit to discuss going from Eurorack to Mixing environment and hung out with Robin of Molten Music Tech. I've also spent the best part of the last week or so outside streaming, working on organising my space, getting more gear visible and easily reachable, plugged in and generally building a more inspiring workspace. It's not complete but an MS-20 with some juicy FX up top is certainly good inspiration to get the juices going when I enter the room.
SUPERBOOTH
Superbooth might not _actually_ be happening but Hainbach & Konstantine have their "Special Reserve" version of their Single Malt Synthesis streams and Sonic State are also going have lots of Superbooth related content coming this weekend, plus Synth Anatomy and others have related content to come too. Like many when I realised the carpet was pulled from under so many peoples feet as events cancelled I did start working on ideas for online event type things and also separate videos but what I really thought was best was to work collaboratively as a community for the greater good and vibe of what Superbooth is for us all. Generally just aiming to bring the community together to one place rather than spread it out even further. After having a great time hanging out on the Single Malt Synthesis stream a few weeks back it was decided that I'd join the Special Reserve Superbooth stream with Hainbach and Konstatine. So from today (literally right about now that I'm posting this) I'll be streaming for several hours each day with some amazing manufacturers with lots of lovely gear! The titles here are clickable links.

LIVE STREAMING RESOURCE
By now I imagine many of you have seen the ongoing updated live stream list I've been keeping over at https://bit.ly/coronastreams - if not please go check that out - but I just wanted to mention that again. I've been updating daily, adding one off live streams and also on going regular streams. This again is going into an effort to keep the community engaged and supporting each other. The amount of activity on live streams has been amazing and I hope that continues through the isolation we all find ourselves in. I know it's really lifting the moods of many creatives, musicians, content creators and everyone stuck home that I've spoke to too. So where you can join in the shows, say hi in the live chat and keep things going. :)
FEEDING THE MONSTER
I mentioned above that the Feeding The Monster streams have now ended but I wanted to let you know that the $5+ Patreon supporters will have some posts in the very near future where I have a fully indexed and linkable version to everything discussed. So you can check into the conversations about modules, power and everything else. Skipping through to find the information inside those long videos.
We're also looking to set up a bonus episode 5 of the series where Chris prepares multiple patches for us, to demo and run through live on the show. I'm very much looking forward to that. It will likely be 7.30pm UK time on Saturday the 2nd of May. I'll confirm that after these Superbooth activities. But I would like any specific questions that I can ask from Patreon supporters so when I post each episode with the index ask them away and those will be noted and asked.
PATREON REPLIES - SLOOOOOOOW ...
It pains me that I can't be super responsive everywhere with everyone but more so for those that support here and go out of there way to interact and help things keep going for me. Things have been slow in terms of me keeping in touch and replying. I just wanted to address that here and say that I'll be making some general changes to prioritise and give people here much more attention. So hang in there and don't feel bad if you chase me for anything, if it's important do follow up soon otherwise I'll be caught up ASAP!
On that note - I've not been on Discord for a long time, but I love seeing that the community in the DivKid Discord are serving themselves so well. Again changes will be made and I'll be in Discord regularly with you all in the near future. If you haven't joined the Discord link your Patreon account to Discord, or ask me for a join link.
JAMUARY PATCH NOTES
I have some JAMUARY patch notes from the 31 videos I made which were kept aside exclusively for Patreon. Before I get to moving through files and making more long term backups I'll be going through all of those and posting them here.
COMMUNITY EFFORTS & PATREON GOING FORWARD
I had a great chat with Modekt recently (his new EP is here) talking about fostering community and that led to some nice ideas for things we can do here. But at this stage I'd like to open up to questions, suggestions and feedback going forward. What would you like to see more of here on my Patreon feed? What would you like to see - either influencing my public output or exclusive things? What would best engage and enrich your musical experiences in terms of community activity together?
That's it for now, hopefully see you live on the stream which is going on RIGHT NOW - https://youtu.be/MMdNFOrmqeQ - and chat to you soon. Keep the support and good attitudes coming around the community, all the best!
