Ello ello (insert bad accent)

we're going live in exactly 30 minutes from this post as a community (of my supporters here) to shape and define a monthly series of 3 module challenges. This will be a Zoom meeting - anyone can join, at the link below, you'll just need a zoom account (free), video and audio or just audio is fine - but it is also a private livestream for you here through my YouTube account so you can take part in the live chat and also watch back later. 

Now this idea came from the community Discord I have set up where a handful of people got to setting up 3 module challenges with added limitations (no oscillators, no envelopes etc) and with discussion following this is something I'd love for us to do as a community. Hence this hangout/call/stream together to define the thing. If you can't join us right now don't worry, you can watch the stream back at the YouTube link and also add some input later before we launch into some nice activity together.

Hey Ben, hope that you don't mind me adding a few ideas/suggestions to this discussion (work prevented me from participating in the live Zoom chat as I was in the car). - No using attenuating, inverting gating, or otherwise anything other than standard patch cables. - Use of a sample being fed into a module like Clouds and then removed from the patch shouldn't be allowed I'd think. It should be "power-on" and go. - Should we allow the use of samplers? You can get a whole song out of a sequencer and a BitBox. I totally agree that a lot of this will be based on "faith" in that the spirit of the challenge should be embraced. There are a lot of modules that can do so much, DIstings, ADE-32s, but the goal shouldn't be making a 3-module patch that is easy but rather somewhat difficult> Finally, I think that I showed you my 3-module generator spreadsheet, I'd be more than will to let anyone have it to give them some ideas or as the basis of a patch challenge. It would probably be good for everyone to share their modulargrid profile so that we can come up with common 3-module challenges that we know a majority of the community will be able to do.
