Your set up shared // question of the day // links from last night (Patreon)

Hello everyone,

hope you're good and your week has got off to a good start. Here's a post just highlighting a few things from today and this weekend.

YOUR SET UP SHARED

For the first ever #yoursetupshared (more on that HERE) we have this inviting table of gear from Mark Scheuern.

There's a great collection of newer and older Eurorack modules, the Buchla Easel, 100 series Buchla Red panel modules and Serge alongside analogue and digital all presenting a wide range of potential uses and approaches.

Great to see the SOMA Lyra Rumble of Ancient Times and Cosmos alongside a Make Noise Strega and Chase Bliss Habit outside of the modular rig too. I’m curious how they all integrate.

Go follow @markscheuern to check his use of his set up and watch out for me sharing more of your set ups in this new series. We’ll be focussing on deeper conversation around this set up for the next week in the DivKid Discord channels. Come join us!

You can follow Mark here - https://www.instagram.com/markscheuern/

QUESTION OF THE DAY

Over on Discord I've just posted the QOTD which was

"what is the most impractical/one trick pony/unusual piece of gear you own that most people side eye but you don’t care because you love it? (And why)"

That was a suggested from user 'Radiaetor' and I'd love to hear your thoughts on it, in the QOTD Discord channel of course.

LINKS FROM LAST NIGHT

Last night we hung out with ebcidic (Phil) in our Discord call and we shared some links that you may be interested in. So I wanted to share those here.

Phil suggested we check out Brain Rays and the Quiet // https://brainraysandquiet.bandcamp.com/album/capsules - I can confirm this is a high energy, high production value fun time.

He also suggested we listen to this // https://insilentseries.bandcamp.com/music - which is set to satisfy all your banging techno needs. Lots of releases to check out but what I've heard so far today has been great.

We spoke about the distorted, shifting drone work of ebcidic's Vestige of Before // https://ebcidic.bandcamp.com/album/vestige-of-before - which also has a full length YouTube visual for the album. // https://youtu.be/Jb1p9jL80C4

We also mentioned Pressure Complex (the release that Phil said was the "better" performance of the patch from his video I shared recently) https://ebcidic.bandcamp.com/album/pressure-complex and of course his new EP Drop-Class I which you can check out here - https://ebcidic.bandcamp.com/album/drop-class-i

So that's the round up of things for now, it's a bit hectic here with a few things but I'm sure I'll have more this coming week. Possibly the Matt Berry video from the first UK Synthfest (nothing serious or long but a nice little 'bit' on the size of Eurorack and running synths through amps).

Have a great week everyone and see you in the Discord!

P.S. // A WORD ON DISCORD

It seems a few people have had issues getting their supporter benefits of joining the Discord recently. If that's the case leave a comment on here and I will reply to that with a join link (it won't be active indefinitely, so watch out for my reply) which should bring you straight in.

Question of the day, the new your set up shared and exclusive hangouts all happen in Discord. I'm on there daily and the community is active and friendly to discuss an all manner of things. So do make sure to link your accounts (or ask me for the link if you're struggling) to make the most of it.

P.P.S // REMINDERS

Don't forget you get exclusive videos and discounts as a Patreon supporter. Here's some links to help you get to those quickly as you need them.
