Hello, hope you're well.

Back in October 2023 Instruo and I launched the ochd expander at the in-person live event "ØCHD-OBER-FEST" (held at Signal Sounds in Glasgow, Scotland). We streamed that event at the time but we also recorded that locally in full 4K glory. So here it is!

For those that missed the event at the time, watched it and want to re live the endorphin kick of masses of modulation or for those that made the event and want to don their lederhosen, pretzels and beer to re live it ... now you can! :)

ALL WE GET IS THIS RE-UPLOAD? ...

As well as just re uploading the event though I also have a new video which is a detailed run down of the patch that I used for the event. This was filmed back at home so we can properly get into it. It's a 4 voice, polyphonic generative ambient patch that also leaves room for musical human interaction. I hope there's something you can take from this to try in your own systems.

Also ... there's a Patreon exclusive PDF coming from this one (tomorrow, just not posting now as this is a public post - get on that $5+ tier for the goodies!) that breaks it down in text form. We all learn differently and writing this down certainly helps me solidify my own ideas along the way.

WHAT ELSE IS COMING?

There's another FX Boy Fridays video this Friday, a fun one with no talking and some fantastic guitar FX and tones. I'm recording for a DivKid community members first module, it came with a Welsh tea bag, I may even enjoy that on camera. I'll then be filming a wider range of both modular and studio examples for Pedals and Patches as that gets going for the new year, then we're into a mega run of LOTS of videos to come across the month through March.

Also ... A NEW DIVKID MODULE is sooo close. We're under a month away from it coming. More on that and everything soon.

ØCHD-OBER-FEST (live event) with DivKid, Instruo & Signal Sounds // ochd expander launch party

In case you missed the live stream at the time, made it but would like to watch again, or were even at the in person event itself and wish to relive the beer, pretzel and modulation good times... here's a fresh 4k HD edited version of the OCHD-OBER-FEST event that myself (DivKid), Instruo and Signal Sounds had back in October 2023 to launch the new ochd expander. I've also just put up a new video with the case and patch that I set up for this event. This was filmed more long form and in detail when I got back home. It's a polyphonic, generative ambient piece that makes use of lots of ochd and it's expander. I'm glad you reuploaded it. I watched it a couple times before it went down and wanted to watch more to get more info about the module etc

Patch diagrams and patch sheets with explanations are awesome. Videos are great for hearing interesting things, but patch diagrams are forever. Long patch breakdown videos can be tedious, especially with the spaghetti. In “print” means I can take it all in in my own time and pace, not the presenter’s. A documented record of exactly how The Thing is done. I use them pretty extensively in my own patching, and post many of them to my website. I hope this trend sticks!
