Hello,

hope you're well and ready and free for a chat and hangout in this evening video premiere. This is with the new VCV Random module by NANO Modules. Which interestingly takes the Eurorack emulating software VCV Rack and turns on their own VCV Modules 'Random'  into a Eurorack hardware module.

Outside of the full circle software emulating hardware, hardware version of software nature of it all it's an interesting and flexible random source with a couple of novel features I haven't seen before. Firstly a step output that under shape control (slider or CV) adds an increasing amount of steps between new random values and secondly a crossfader that fades between using the input noise or output voltage as a sample source.

As this is from a VCV Rack module I made a patch with VCV for the end of the video. You can grab that patch for free here // https://divkid.gumroad.com/l/vcvrandom // download it, enjoy it, rip it apart and head into the Discord to chat about how you're using it.

VIDEO PREMIERE LIVE AT 8PM UK/GMT (TIME IN YOUR REGION ON THE VIDEO LINK, 2 HOURS FROM THIS POST) // https://youtu.be/HYDu2c2Ke98

Should be another video ready before the end of the week and lots of nice plans ahead for the rest of this month. All the best, thanks for the support and chat soon!

What if VCV Rack was real? // VCV Random by NANO Modules

In an interesting full circle turn of events, VCV Rack that emulates Eurorack hardware how now come to life as Eurorack hardware in the new VCV Random module from NANO Modules. VCV Random is a Eurorack hardware version of the VCV Rack Random software module. It's a flexible and modulate-able multi output random generator with some novel features, namely, a step shape control that adds increasing numbers of steps between random values and a 'RND' crossfade control that crossfades the sampling of internal noise and the output. The latter resulting in a unique way to control voltage changes per step and one that can modulate over time.
