[HS2&KK]Ferragamo-Carla (Patreon)

This week's update features the Ferragamo Carla, a high-heel variation of Ferragamo's iconic bow-tie shoe collection, with a 70mm heel.

Compared to the Vara and Varina, Carla's popularity has never seemed particularly high. However, starting something means finishing it, and with Carla now done, I've finally completed the entire collection of Ferragamo's bow-ties. It's quite nostalgic to think that this series is almost considered a "vintage" design these days...

Also, regarding the shape of the Ferragamo series MODs I create—in reality, the bow-tie series doesn't expose that much toe seam. However, if I were to faithfully model the shape without toe exposure, the shoes in the game would become very wide, almost like a boat (you can imagine it as shortening the shoe length and then widening the model to wrap around the foot, resulting in an incorrect length-to-width ratio). So, my choice was to maintain the original shoe's proportions and allow for more toe cleavage. It's a classic case of trade-offs...

For the next MOD, I plan to work on YSL's classic design, the Jeanne (with the metal toe cap). Stay tuned.
