Bretta aka. The Civilian (Patreon)

So, Bretta is my favourite character just after Jonathan... tbh it's a thrill to write them both...

She was born in a wealthy, yet commoner Scarlet family, her parents, eager to climb the social status ladder, have been trying to literally sell her own daughter to strangers. But given her daughter’s tendency to speak out her mind, and turn down the banal small talk of her suitors, they’ve been…unsuccessful. So they’ve been trying down with militia officers, hoping one of them will shut her trap.  Because of this, her parents verbally abuse her and publicly shame her.

Bretta met Camille when she was tasked to fetch the family automobile from Camille's Workshop. She was smitten with the young mechanic and her sister, soon, she was visiting twice a week to bring both tea and the Empire’s most recent gossip. Even though Bretta was never truly told, she knew both girls were insurgents, and she was more than happy to elope with them both when the opportunity arises. 

She's a key gossip and intel bringer to the Insurgent force, and the fact that her parents just seem to shamelessly insist into shoving her to military officers proved convenient.
