Hello friends, great to have you here as a Silver Member. This week's training is on Document Mail Merge Pro.

In this video, I tried Mail Merge for 30 days and found a better alternative - Document Mail Merge Pro! Find out how this tool can streamline your document creation process.

▶️ Feel free to watch the full training video right here on YouTube when it goes live.

As a Silver Member, you can also participate in our Feature, Fix or Focus Program, in which each week I will add a feature, fix an issue, or focus on a specific part of the current week’s training. This Feature, Fix, or Focus will be entirely based on your requests and ideas in the comments below. Based on those suggestions, I will then create another short video, along with an updated workbook and make them available exclusively to you, right here on Patreon. I look forward to reading your comments below.

👉 Make sure you download the workbook, PDF codebook, and the training resources in the files below.

I would love to hear your feedback, ideas, and suggestions on any upcoming videos as well, so make sure to comment below as I read every comment.

I look forward to hearing from you and I hope you enjoy the training. Thank you.

Maybe a jump start on the additional features request. Several years ago I created a mail merge using the Catalog Feature which allowed you to use logic in the field codes such that items were included or excluded using If Then Else appropriately bracketed in the field display which was a nightmare to implement. In my case I wanted to create a letter where one of the pargraphs was a table of everyone in a family, names, phone nubmers , whatever. The excel file was a list of family names with multiple lines , one for each family member with details. It was sorted by family name which was common to each line recored for a family member. The data source was processed sequentially and every time a family name changed a new letter was created. Then one of the paragraphs created a table with the info for each family member, so it read like a catalog or phone directory. The table formatting was a problems and I had to add a text code to each line that then had to be scrubbed with a macro. There was an issue and formatting and appending new lines to a table but the details escape me at the moment. Then each documnet was saved and later processed to a PDF, so one for each family name with a varying table depeding on the family size embedded with the letter I was sending to each family. Seems like advance filtering would be perfect. But I also like the idea that the data base may need be be refreshed with an optional read of a new Excel file since the source data was dynamic.

Hi Malcolm, very interesting and thanks so much for sharing. It is a nice idea to have that type of dynamic content of a table inside a word document. I also really like the idea of converting the Word to PDF and I will be incorporating that into the update. Thanks again for your continued support and feedback. I really appreciate it
