In this week’s Feature, Fix, or Focus, we take last week’s Annual Financial Statements training.

Here’s the list of updates I made for this training:

⭐️ Dynamic date Ranges & Date Range Table Added - Majok

⭐️ Add, Edit, Save & Delete Transactions via new userform - Valdiney

⭐️ Added Email PDF Report Feature

Please don’t forget to add your requests for your own Feature, Fix or Focus each week when I post a new video, right here on Patreon. Each week I will either add a new feature, fix a bug or an issue, or create another training with a special focus on any part, all based on your feedback and comments.

I have a question to someone regarding the Microsoft 365 for Mac users. Recently I keep receiving messages that Microsoft Excel 365 fully supports Mac. Is it possible now to use macros and all Excel functions on Mac now. Up to today I used Parallel, however, because I need to renew Parallel, maybe it is not necessary to do that, but use Microsoft Excel 365 now? Any suggestions?

Excel For Freelancers

Hi Robert, thanks for your message. it's a good question, but one I can't answer since I don't own a mac, however I have asked chatGPT for you and this is what I got: "You're right that Microsoft has made big improvements to Excel 365 for Mac over the past few years — but it's still not fully equal to the Windows version, especially when it comes to macros and VBA. Here’s a quick breakdown of what works and what doesn’t: ✅ What Works in Excel 365 for Mac: Most Excel functions (formulas, charts, Power Query basics, etc.) Basic VBA macros: You can run and write VBA code on Mac now. UserForms: Supported on Mac (as of 2021 updates). Cross-platform workbooks: You can open and use workbooks created on Windows, including those with VBA. Office Scripts: Not supported on Mac at all — only on the web version for now. ❌ What Still Doesn’t Work or Has Issues on Mac: No support for ActiveX controls (these are Windows-only). Some COM add-ins won’t work (Mac doesn’t support COM). Performance: Some VBA features run slower or behave differently. Limited integration with other apps like Outlook or Word via VBA on Mac (compared to Windows). ➕ Recommendation: If you rely heavily on: Advanced macros Custom add-ins Automation between Excel, Word, and Outlook Then you may still want to renew Parallels and run Excel for Windows. If your macro needs are basic to moderate, and you’re not doing cross-app automation, Excel 365 for Mac should be enough now."
