Hello Members,

The training we have for this week that I have shared with you was about the Incredible EFF AI Function. If you have not seen it yet, you can view it right here on YouTube.

Now that the training has been released, I am looking for your feedback to make this even better, just for you, our incredible Patreon Members.

So, what Feature can I add for you? Did you find an issue you want me to fix? Or is there a particular area you would like me to focus on?

Please comment your ideas and feedback to any of these below and I will do my best to not only create an updated workbook, but release a private training video next Monday, right here on Patreon.

I am looking forward to hearing from you and thanks so much for your support.

Regards,

Randy

Hi Randy, it is Great timing that you just did this. I am working with a large multinational and want to use Excel with MS Copilot, but for Security and cost reasons they do not allow it in production enviroments. However, they have their OWN internal Ai that is allowed for all users and has its own API. If we could change EFFAi() so that the Ai Model could be setup with other Ai Model providers instead of hardcoded to GROQ it would make this EFFAI() Actually useful inside organizations that have their own internal Ai governance. We often encounter 3 different onsite allowed setups. 1. They have setup an On-prem Ollama and use the ollama api internally via AnythingLLM, LMStudio, LM Router) 2. They have an on-site OpenAi isolated and guardrailed but offer their own api for internal use. 3. They have internal multi-model infrastructure with an Ai Router gateway with a single key/api that can then access multiple models in same api call. (See opensource Chatbox Ai App.) I did a proposal in pdf and will send in email to you.

Hi Cysops, thanks for your message. I am really glad to bring you this training and I think it adds a ton of power and flexibility. For the update later today I have added features that can be used to list down for older versions of Excel (that don't automatically list down) along with a '@summarize' feature that can summarize a set of data. For the local option, while I have not tried this, i am sure it can be configured to call a local LLM with the necessary local path and headers. I am sure it would be quite fast as well. Thanks again for your continued support

Thanks Randy, will you be adding the EFFAI() to the Ai Toolkit? The highly regulated clients i work will use the Ai toolkit /EFFAI() instead of Copilot if i can get it setup to use their local LLM infrastructure instead of going out to public api. If that is not hard to do would you have time to do it under a work order, outside the Fix/Focus? I would be faster to pay you do it while code is still in your mind, instead of hiring another programmer. .

Hi and thanks very much. Yes, no doubt, I will be adding this to the toolpack as i think its a great feature. I also want to make more changes to the toolpack such as the option to change models and temperatures in the toolpack. As far as the local LLM, i am not sure, as I have not worked directly with local LLM's simply because 99.9% of the people do not have the local infrastructure (HDD/RAM) to handle a local LLM. The issue is that any changes in the local infrastruc might cause bugs, however if you are working with a client with a local LLM, you may not need more than a local url and api key, the rest might stay the same, except for maybe changes in the header. Give it a try and let me know how it goes since i am unable to take on any additional projects. Thanks again for your continued support

Ok. I will see if i can get my developer Brian to test it out. He does our local llm coding, but not a vba developer, but i think with the Ai helping him read through the code he can manage it. As with you, its now a matter of priority as he is building our EdTech Ai course builder and iso17024 compliant Assessment & Verified Credential solution usIng Local LLM. Thank you Randy for your passion to Excel for Freelancer 🙏
