Hello Members!

In this week’s Feature, Fix or Focus we take last week’s 1-Click Estimate, Work Order, and Invoice training, and this time I added the delete order feature, fixed issues concerning order type changes, and added a footer message functionality. I am sure you will really enjoy this.

Please don’t forget to add your requests for your own Feature, Fix or Focus each week when I post a new video, right here on Patreon.

Each week I will either add a new feature, fix a bug or an issue, or create another training with a special focus on any part, all based on your feedback and comments.

Make sure to view the brand new and updated training below and download the updated workbook in the attachments below.

As always, great to have you here, and thanks so much for your support.Randy

Hi and thanks Jaime, I am not sure what this is referring to our Website, Patreon, a specific workbook? Feel free to email me directly with any questions Randy@ExcelForFreelancers.com Thanks very much

John Lawrence

It would be awesome if you could set it up to just add a company logo and address info in one spot on the admin page and it auto input it in the rest of the workbook where it is supposed to be.

Also I live were we are required to charge tax on materials only on some projects and it would be helpful to be able to apply tax to materials only or the whole project. Maybe even have it in the item list to select if its Taxable or not.

Hi John, thanks for your message. Yes for sure these are great ideas. Each week, after a video is launched, I customize and update a template based on our members ideas. Then, 7 days after the initial launch, I post the updated training and template. This one was done many years ago.

Thanks for your comment Joh, all of this is possible however I am personally unable to make modifications to old templates since my schedule prevents me from creating custom updates. Thanks again

John Lawrence

An Incredible Dashboard would also be good here for a quick look at win/loss comparison to track how many estimates are one compared to lost estimates. Also the best selling items.

Excel For Freelancers

Absolutely. There are many ways you can customize this template. Make sure to download the update and feel free to make any updates you like. I hope this helps and thanks so much.

John Lawrence

It would be awesome to have assemblies that could be uploaded to auto fill all the materials needed for that assembly and then adjust the qtys needed for each item. Also a brief job description at the top of the estimate would be great as well. Not all estimates are a list of materials. Some estimates liking roofing estimates is just a detail of what's being done but the materials and labor are not always listed in the estimate. Just the description of what's being done and the subtotal, Tax, Grand total.

So if somebody finds these videos a year later you wont go back and make changes to possibly make it a better product for them? If I knew how to do these updates I would. That's why I paid money for yours and you always say to leave comments for updates. I suppose that just means on ones you have recently released and if your late to the party to bad. It sucks that you wont go back to older files and update them for people that come in late to the party. I have searched for updated (Current) estimate templates and these are the newest ones I could find. If you have more updated ones that may have these features I would love to access them. If not I would hope you would consider being willing to update older files to help new people. I understand you are doing a lot of newer stuff as well and time is limited however, I see how fast you do these and I would be willing to bet you could do these updates in a timely manner and wouldn't loose much time for the newer stuff. I wish I knew these skills but I don't and these projects you have created are awesome for small one man business owners like myself and some of these changes could be a huge help for people like myself and I'm sure others.

Hi John, yes that is correct. I have more than 600 Templates and trainings, if i were to go back years and make upgrades for everyone, I would never be able to do anything else, and still I would not be able to handle the load. With more than 800,000 Youtube subscribers and nearly 500 Patreon members, I would be unable to handle this type of load. I get more than 100 requests like yours per-week. That is why i have a window if around 5 to 6 days for our members to get in suggestions before I make the update. Our members get the original video on a Sunday and I launch the updated training Video and template 8 days after. As with anything, it boils down to time and money. If you don't have the time to update these then i can have a developer handle this for you. If you have more time than money, then these are great skills to learn and be able to customize it every step of the way. If you are new to VBA please check out my Beginners playlist on Youtube here: Https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIBeRriXvKzDTzNp5IME4-oXXCrIjvV4z I hope this helps and thanks so much.

John Lawrence

I understand that. Dont get me wrong I do appreciate what you are doing and I am going to try and go through some of the VBA stuff and see what I can figure out. If it comes to it and I can't figure it out I will contact you.

How can I increase estimate or invoice lines , if my estimate is 60 to 90 lines long , and also my invoice can be 60 to90 lines or more long

Excel For Freelancers

Hi Johan, thanks for your question. You can have as many rows as you want, just by extending the data validation & formats and updating the Worksheet Change event range to ensure that it covers all of the rows you want. I hope this helps and thanks so much.
