Hey Randy... It might be nice to see something on how you get the app customer ready. Such as protecting the sheets to make them more data entry friendly and such. Our how you go about unprotecting them in VBA to update the data and so forth. What about if an error occurs and how to reprotect the sheet again. Things like that... hope that makes sense!

I think it would be really great if we had an enterprise system based on Excel, for all the departments in one workbook or linked together into multiple workbooks that work together like one system (HR, Accounting, MIS, inventory, finance, etc. As far as big data is concerned, I've found that now we can incorporate Python (PyXLL Jupyter) and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) with Excel's capabilities and handle it without getting slow or any other problems. Good morning, I'm a six sigma consultant and have used the base of your kanban, dabbled with the Gantt, some project trackers and a few others, i have custom made workbook to manage my work breakdown structure, RACI and a slew of other matrix, anything along those items would be very welcome!

It would be good to see here how to connect an excel VBA application to any database, such as Microsoft SQL, Oracle, etc so that I can update data in excel with one click and input data in excel and the database will update.

While searching what other languages can be used with Excel, I found Python also worked similarly to VBA, and I followed the steps on how to add Python to Excel and it worked. As a beginner, I am focusing on VBA I'm a beginner :). After learning VBA, I will then move onto Python. :)

Hello Randy, Often I have to sort MAC and, or IP addresses and while watching your โ€œone click sortโ€ video, I was wondering if this could be done via vba, rather than what I am doing. I use text to column, delimiter as : so that each block is in its own cell, then apply sort and concatenation to put the MAC addresses back together, I do the same for the IP address as well. So the list is sorted first by MAC, then by IP however, the majority of the time, I only need to sort by MAC. Is there as easier way to accomplish this task?

HI Kyp, certainly it can be done in VBA as well. You can use the Split function to split any string and then work with each individual string by placing it into its own column. You also have the ability to use Instr, Left and Right functions for strings as well. Instr can test if a specific character or string exists. I cover this in a lot of my videos.
