Please don’t forget to add your requests for your own Feature, Fix or Focus each week when I post a new video, right here on Patreon. Each week I will either add a new feature, fix a bug or an issue, or create another training with a special focus on any part, all based on your feedback and comments.

Saisulie Sandy

Hi Randy. I have tried implementing 2 of your workbook sync algorithms with one of my applications, and I've noticed a problem with dates. As you know, your algorithm works by recording changes made to a database to .txt files and then taking those changes and syncing them with other workbooks. I have noticed that whenever I run the algorithm, the dates in my database change - days and months get switched around. For example, 12/03/2022 gets changed to 03/12/2022. I have tried every solution that I can think of, and nothing seems to work. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Excel For Freelancers

Hi Sandy, you will want to make sure the date formats in your computer, in Excel , and in the cells are all the exact same format. When one of those date formats are not correct or matching it can create issues. You can also format dates in VBA using Format(Datevalue,"mm/dd/yyyy") or any format you like
