Hello Members!

In this week’s Feature, Fix, or Focus, we take last week’s AI Assistant Add-In training.

Here are the updates I made for this training:

· Drop-Down List Of Dynamic ChatGPT Models added by Randy Austin

· Drop-Down List Of Dynamic ChatGPT Temperature added by Randy Austin

· Populate Combo List Via VBA added by Randy Austin

Please don’t forget to add your requests for your own Feature, Fix or Focus each week when I post a new video, right here on Patreon. Each week I will either add a new feature, fix a bug or an issue, or create another training with a special focus on any part, all based on your feedback and comments.

Hi Randy, I was trying to use the add-in and when I added my key, i am getting an error. "Runtime error 5: Invalid procedure call or argument". Do you know why I am getting this. This is the code that is creating the error: ParsedAnswer = Left(ParsedAnswer, InStrRev(ParsedAnswer, Chr(34) & "," & Chr(34) & "index") - 1)

Hi Gerardo, thanks for your question. It could be because you are out of credits or there could be an issue with the site. It would be easy to know, just by debugging the response and displaying that response in the immediate window. I discuss how to do this in the training video. I hope this helps and thanks so much.

HI Manoj, thanks for your comment. Please look at the the immediate window inside the VBA code to see what type of response you are getting from the API. This will explain the reason for the error. I hope this helps and thanks so much.

Angel

I ran into the same issue

Angel

Hello, Gerardo, did you happen to find out what the issue was?

Hi Angel, thanks for your message. Since this training was over 2 years ago, the parameters for the Chat Input have most likely changed. I would suggest following my newer videos for AI API's such as this one https://youtu.be/2uEnYjByNgY I hope this helps and thanks so much.
