Hello Members,

The training we have for this week that I have shared with you was about the Top 5 VBA Hacks. If you have not seen it yet, you can view it right here on YouTube.

Now that the training has been released, I am looking for your feedback to make this even better, just for you, our incredible Patreon Members.

So, what Feature can I add for you? Did you find an issue you want me to fix? Or is there a particular area you would like me to focus on?

Please comment your ideas and feedback to any of these below and I will do my best to not only create an updated workbook but release a private training video next Monday, right here on Patreon.

I am looking forward to hearing from you and thanks so much for your support.

This training video is a treasure trove of insightful tips, techniques, and hacks. The way you deconstruct topics into manageable pieces is remarkable, ensuring we thoroughly understand each concept. while this one is focused on fundamentals and not necessarily features I would love it if you could cover alternative displays of this shape-based content on the calendar like a switch from monthly to a more granular "weekly" or this week view thanks!

Hi and thanks so much. I will try to add multiple, shape-based views, in a new training in the future. I do have Day and Week View schedules, however I think they are in separate training. Thanks again and much appreciated.

I know it is late but showing how to set up and use autohotkey which you make it seemless would be neat. Maybe in another Saturday training?

That is great. Is the license going to be one machine? I use desktop and laptop when I go see folks.

Excel For Freelancers

Yes its a per-machine basis. I have a crazy deal coming out for Black Friday so it will be out by then. I put a ton of work into it. You are the first to see it Larry :)

Larry Duffie

I am honored and I like it for sure.

The more i think on this the better it is. with everyone seeing how they can record a macro from your first beginner vba and then being able to add to the library, the number can be huge. for example in all your you tubes you set background color and get rid of grid lines and center and merge your top 2 lines and color columns A and B then possibly create a hotkey when you start a new sheet. or copy it to a module and put in and customize then run and after all is done delete. this may be one of your best ideas.

Hmm yes great point Larry. Since I have given each macro a Category and Type and I have an entire section on Record Management, you could easily create a set of macros, then connect them with a shortcut sequence. Creating a set of macros to start off an application is a great idea. You can even add multiple macros into the same section so that for example, you could have Load List, Save/Update, Add New, Load Record and Delete Record all in the same saved item, so that all of those macros populate with a single shortcut key. Watching it all type out automatically in front of your eyes is fascinating.

There is just one part that i want to work on. I want to allow users, to update the macros as they need, which is great, however I also want to provide updates and additional macros on regular basis, So i have to make sure that updates to this application do not overwrite your own macros that you may have added or updated. Thanks again :)

Larry Duffie

I would give the macros a prefix like EFF_ so that you will be able to update and add. May have to have an addendum on your video to have users name their's something else to make sure none are overplayed? Or is that not possible.

Excel For Freelancers

Yeah that is what I will do. In the last column of the database, any macro that you update will be noted. If I update the same macro, then during the update process, you will be given a choice if you want to use my update or your update. This is only for the same macros that we both update. I think that will make sense.
