wow!!!! hands down, the title track is my fav! and what a groove that was! damn she came to play and didn't F*** around. She said she was most proud of this album, and I get why. It grows on you more and more, and each song stands on it's own. She said it was so tightly wrapped, and I couldn't agree more.

LOVE LOVE this album. So true that each of her albums have a sound imprint that carries through. So hard to do well like she does year after year. People that are super fans don’t necessarily understand this. Taylor really is the definition of an evolving artist with unlimited creative force.

Long time watcher on YouTube… we absolutely love you guys! First time Patreon subscriber, I’ve actually thought about subscribing previously (loved all the Chappel Roan content). I know anything TS related can cause glitches, but I felt the issues with the freezing significantly detracted from your guys’ focus and thoughts today, which was a bummer as we want to hear your musical advice! And not lots of talking about a stream not working. :(

My first listen was earlier today in the theater. I was fun to get the context of all the songs even if she had to fudge some of it with a 😉. I couldn’t wait to watch you both react to it and listen to it straight through and with headphones. Early on (12:50ish) you mentioned the sound of the album was different and she mentioned that exactly when writing one of the songs - it was def the beginning of the next era. The hard part about watching the live playbacks is not being able to jump into the middle of the chats!! (Yells at iPad reacting along the way)

The release party at the theater is something you guys should try to get to this weekend if you can!!! JT loved the long pond sessions because she talked about how the songs came to be, and he wished more artists would do that. THIS IS THAT!! With the Party of a Showgirl, she goes into so much story detail before each song. Way more than the voice notes do on the streaming services. And all of the behind the scenes plus the premiere of the video. The entire time I was watching it yesterday I kept saying oh my gosh, JT and Coolie would love this!!!!!

just remember people her albums always get massive amount of hate at first lol the internet wants to act like they all loved TTPD but it got torn to shreds when it dropped. Most of these people who hate it would also hate 1989 if it came out today and complain about the lyrics not being "deep" people just hate fun.

I just saw TLOASG Official Release Party 2x today, at 10 am and then 3 pm with my daughter! We love it and I'm obsessed. It was like Long Pond Studio sessions with the explanations for all the songs, and the BTS for the music video just shows all her hard work. She crushed it!

People are VERY UPSET that some of these songs sound like other songs. I’m curious what you two think about that. I don’t know music like either of you but I do know there are chord progressions that occur in multiple songs, cadences in lyrics etc. thoughts?

In eldest daughter i get why people are upset at the lyrics, but I think when she used 'savage' its meant/used as shes not as cut throat as she seems. Could she have used different terminology? Yes, but shes not the first to use insensitive remarks and she won't be last.

I saw a TikTok where the content creator broke down how Father Figure was Scott B in the beginning and became Taylor's pov at the key change. Which I got. But she said that Taylor saying "I protect the family" exactly six times probably refers to her six albums that had been sold and that's the family she protected. I'm all in on that perspective.

I saw a few clips of your reviews on IG and had to see your full reactions. I'm 56 and this Taylor album is the first album I've bought in over 20 years. I am so obsessed with the music. I needed real musicians to explain why I'm so drawn to this. Now I'm diving into all Taylor's music. I dont understand all the hate, and, by the way, is exactly why I even decided to buy the Album & learn more about her.... I'm a conservative but the "hate" that this artists gets is unbelievable. I'm now a Swifty and I'm thanking you guys for explaining the music. I'm now a subscriber of your so I can get a real perspective on the music!
